We have stayed here several times and the hotel staff continue to be the reason we return; from the personalized Christmas card in the room to the beautiful Birthday wishes waiting in the room to the non-stop smiles and willingness to provide information. The rooftop pool/bar is awesome and a welcome break from the busy beach across the street

The front end of the property is on the main street and the back end is directly on the beach. You can’t get a better combination than that! My only complaint was with my room choice. I chose the sea view suite at the back end, upstairs with a nice balcony and a private spiral staircase down to the pool and beach. The problem was that the shower wasn’t in the bathroom. It was on the balcony. Makes sense for showering after the beach. Makes no sense for normal bathing. Beachgoers and people in the private yard of the room below could look up at me entering and exiting the shower.

Good quality hotel at a prime location, amazing massage service, however few errors that should not be done by a 4 star hotel:-
1) my credit card didn't work for the deposit when I checked in? Felt the staff was reluctant to find a solution or a different machine that works, and they didn't accept debt card. I used the same card in their Spa and it worked just fine.
2) the electricity in my room was not stable on my last day? On my last night it kept waking me up suddenly all the lights switch on? I switch them off and then 10 min later a glitch happens and all lights switch on waking me up. Until it completely died while I was taking a shower and I had to call the receptionist soaking wet to understand what is going on. The cleaning lady came and put her card in the socket instead of mine.
3) no flexibility for late check out..not even 30 min, I understand this hotel is busy but just to set expectations for anyone thinking of asking...and I booked a pool access room
4) gave them my laundry and I had to call twice to ask for delivery....urgency should be there from the staff
5) upon checking out, Normally the first question you get "how was your stay with us?" , in this one they didn't even bother to ask or apologize for the electricity drama.
6) you have to pay a 1K fee for any visitor which i think is a bit too much

The hotel is exactly what you get for the price, the staff were lovely and helpful and the place was clean, one small issue was the smell from the drain in bathroom when running the shower.
The pool is small but nice, a small haven after a day out. The gym is also small but you can get in a decent workout when it’s raining.
however I do have a couple of grips! the bed was the most uncomfortable, hard mattress I have slept on. The othe grip was the noise from other guests, the hotel is not sound proof and we could every footstep, door slam and late night loud tuk tuk and wrestling van that went past the hotel! As well as everyone returning from a night out! It definitely made for some untrusted sleeping!
The hotel is situated close to most things and i recommend the food market opposite, great food choice and great prices. The massage place just down the road also highly recommended ( Aroma )
Overall we had a good stay if it wasn’t for the bed or noise I would give five stars.

The hotel is a little distance from Patong Beach (although the hotel provides a shuttle bus). The hotel does not have its own beach. The hotel is beside a highway, and there are only a few restaurants nearby. It sounds as if this is not the best holiday hotel choice,right?
But you just need to check in.Then you will find that this is a surprisingly good hotel.Because the hotel is located on the hillside, the sea view is very spectacular.
The staff are all friendly and always have a smile.With a person with limited mobility the front desk team Joe Sordy and LOH took extra care of us.
And lovely Ms.Noodang at breakfast restaurant was so kind to us.She not only explained everything in detail. And make sure our table is clean and the cups are full.She also took the initiative to recommend us and sent us the special dessert of the day.
Then let's talk about the breakfast.Hotels in Thailand have never short of a good breakfast.But the breakfast at Kalima is unbelievable.Whether it is the variety or the quality of food.For example you may find bubble breakfast in many hotels.But Kalima take it to an other level.You can even make your own highball here.Such a good breakfast plus a good view what else could you ask for a holiday?
