Beautifully presented hotel in a great location

Lovely size room, and bathroom. Staff were accommodating and quite lovely. Also a great location, great walking distance to everything!!

Great place to stay. Very clean close to shops places to eat. Bed comfortable. Will stay here again.only thing was the car parking gate was outside bedroom window noisy when opening and closing gate, but highly recommend this place.

The room was comfortable but the lighting was too dim to read by. The hotel is surrounded by construction for the light rail. It's noisy and makes it hard to get around. The bar is pleasant and we had a good dinner with great service in the dining room.

A top notch experience for our four night stay in a one bedroom apt at East Hotel in Canberra. Underground parking was a key consideration for our stay and it worked well ($20 a night). Very pleasant and helpful staff and a great restaurant (Italian) downstairs where we had both breakfast and dinner a couple of times. Fast wifi. Amazing hot water (the hottest I think we have ever come across, anywhere!). Firm king sized bed with comfortable mattress topper was great. Aircon was effective (its starting to get cold in Canberra in May!). Excellent soundproofing (we were on the 5th floor, directly opposite the "Kingo" hotel (world famous in Canberra). A couple of very minor (1st world) issues. The lighting in the apt was not great for makeup (so my wife told me), though there are plenty of mirrors. There was plenty of clothes storage space (including hanging), though the fact that some of this storage was in the bathroom was a little odd. Kitchen was very well appointed, with a full range of pots and pans (better than almost anywhere else we have stayed in our extensive travels). In apt laundry facilities were top notch (though we didn't use them), with separate washer and dryer. The provision of free and very tasty jellybeans and chocolate sprinkles near reception was a nice touch as well. Overall we couldn't fault the service and amenities for our stay at East Hotel.

Would stay again just for the complimentary mini bar, what a game-changer! Staff were incredible - shout out to Daryl in reception. He left a jar of lollies for my son upon learning it was his b-day. But every other staff we I have interacted with was incredible, warm but professional, communicated well. Definitely a step-up from other hotels The room itself was good, dark and moody, maybe needed a few cushions on the couch. Not much of a view, though it could be cos I requested a quiet room Was looking forward to room service, but not keen on the takeaway containers and paper bags, would've love actual dinnerware and/or cutlery but that's just me There's a heated pool and sauna, which was quite utilised by other guests during our stay, sadly we skipped out Great location - literally in front of the tram stop and a short walk to cafes/restaurants Overall, great experience and will definitely be back for future stay-cations!

Room was spacious and comfortable. Parking was complimentary while staying. Location is close to the capital hill.

Always lovely to stay here. Charming. Wear and tear are starting to show a little. The staff are very efficient but can do with a bit of smile and warmth towards guests. Will stay again and recommend it.

Great property, central to all attractions

Had the lakeside view, very nice. The suite had plenty of room, and very clean. Breakfast included which was good. Parking good also. Definitely, recommend staying here.

Matt was very attentive. As the snow had melted on the roads, he dropped us off to the slopes each morning and collected us each afternoon.
