Service was great, staff was helpful, courteous and respectful. Decor was outdated and some items were pretty banged up, could use updating. However, bathroom & linens were clean and changed regularly and bed was comfortable. Many other guests seemed to be living there or staying there long term.

Location is perfect!! It was very disgusting everything is old not cleaned at all hair rusted the bed not comfortable online it says king bed but it was a twin bed not very happy and we will not stay here ever again

The view out the window was amazing as it snowed while we were there. The new heating system (GE PerfectControl) they put in is a joke. They set it to give barely any heat. We arrived on a cold December day, and at check-in, the temperature in the room was 51 degrees. We set it to the maximum (78 degrees). After 2 hours, the room temperature was 54. The front desk was aware of this and sent a technician to the room, who said this was how the unit worked. He admitted that if this lukewarm air came from his home heating system, he would consider it a problem. We had a long trip and decided to stay. The next morning, the room was 60 degrees. That was the max it ever became. On researching the GE PerfectControl, hotels can set the temp ranges that guests can set. It also allows the hotel to set the rate at which it gets warm. Hilltop probably chose the lowest possible heating rate. I want to save energy too, but this was unacceptable. If you go here and freezing is not your thing, take a space heater, heated blanket, or other way to stay warm.
Really nice view from the room. Too bad the heating system was so awful to us.

I stayed here before the current owners. The prior owners let the place run down. The new owners have done a great job making the place clean again. Still a very basic place, without ant frills, but way cleaner and improved. Would stay here again

No protein at free breakfast.

No protein at breakfast. That is my biggest complaint. At the least they could have had peanut butter or hard boiled eggs. Only apples for fruit. Other than that, limited cereal, plenty of yogurt, bagels, bread, and muffins. Good choices for juice.
