"I had a friend stay from Sydney so when looking through where to spend my.money & as swam in pool there so booked Check in was fine. ROOM WAS OLD TIRED & AT $205 a night.RIPPED OFF OVER CHARGED ETC. RIDICULOUSLY DISSSPOINTED "

"Rooms far smaller than the photos portray. Oven is ancient from the 70s and required matches to light the gas as the starters don’t work. (Have never even seen an oven this old) It’s 2026, this should be more modern for how much you’re charging at nearly $300 per night. Had to make the kids beds as they don’t do it - For $300 there are far better options! TV didn’t work at first and remote cover kept falling apart, couch was filthy. Saucepan was so tiny and a lack of kitchen amenities. Wouldn’t stay here again."

"Stayed here for a special occasion weekend away recently, but what a rip-off! The resort was extremely run-down both inside and out. The 'beach lagoon' was unswimmable due to being full of thick and foul smelling weed. The room quality was old and basic with the king bed being just two beds pushed together with a VERY uncomfortable ridge in between. We ate both in the bistro area and in the main restaurant, where staff were friendly overall, though they appeared slightly embarrassed by the obviously poor value for money and unbelievably long wait times for the food. We paid $34 for a cheese platter, which arrived with 6 crackers, a strawberry, 1/2 slice of dried apple, 5 apricots, a tiny sliver each of cheddar and soft cheese, and some relish, which in total, left 2/3 of the platter empty! This Novotel is definitely nowhere near 5-star, and as a local, I will never return. They charge a 5-star price but deliver more of a dodgy caravan park vibe. When I realised I had left my brand new togs behind in the room after we had vacated, I called the hotel, who promised someone from housekeeping would investigate and call me back that day. After 4 phone calls over the following 2 weeks with the same promises but no call-backs, I gave up. Very grim service I'd say. The only saving grace was the lovely American gentleman Maitre D, and the wait staff, and if I were them, I'd take my amazing customer service skills somewhere that deserves them."

"Overall this place is pretty great for a family vacation. I have teen/tween children and they did enjoy the waterpark but the pool was the favourite. The buffet breakfast was an excellent spread with a huge amount of choices. The apartments are big & spacious, have a lift to upper levels, showers are big and hot water with great pressure. Kitchenette is great with a small stovetop in one room, fridge (one large, one small), dishwasher, and even a coffee machine and pods and milk, etc provided, There’s a washer and dryer in a separate small room. And rooms were thick walled, did not hear neighbouring patrons. I rate this lower though because of a few things - readers may like to know that a dual key room has a one king, one queen. I called reception for another bed but it was badly broken and could not be slept on. They said they did not have another being unaware that I had 3 teens - the hotel expects that 3 people will sleep in a king, 2 in the queen!! They then proceeded to blame me for not booking direct with the hotel, as they get no communication from 3rd party booking. Well that’s on them to fix that problem, it’s on them to find a working roll away bed, not me. Another star lost was for general things hotel can fix in future - shower floods the bathroom, carpets are stained and could do with replacing or a deep clean, pool should be felines/tiled as it cut all of my families feet badly as it’s lined with sharp little stones throughout, there are no power points next to"

"Overall, we had a good stay, but there is definitely room for improvement. Firstly, the description on Expedia states that the resort is a “5-minute walk” away. This wording is misleading, as it implies a short and easy walk. In reality, the walk is quite long, uphill, and not practical for many guests. It heavily relies on the buggy service, which unfortunately has a 10pm curfew that is quite inconvenient. Room service also needs improvement. Used dishes were not cleared, and coffee capsules were not replaced during servicing. We experienced long waiting times at reception as well. Given the size of the resort, it would be very helpful to have a valet service and someone to guide guests to their rooms upon arrival. Additionally, it would improve the guest experience if the buggy service offered to take guests directly to their rooms rather than only dropping them at reception. With some operational adjustments, this resort could significantly enhance the overall guest experience."
