We visited the Lakes District for a 4 day vacation and came across this delightful boutique bed and breakfast lodge. We were absolutely delighted with our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room, and the rest of the lodge, were tastefully decorated and cosy. The breakfast was excellent, being continental in style, but very large. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the main part of Bowness-on-Windermere, with multiple cafes and easy walking access to the pier. Parking is...

We had an amazing time with our few days stay. Pam made us feel very welcomed and did her best to ensure we had all the things we needed for an unforgettable experience.
Quality prevails everywhere at the property whether from room furniture to the tea coffee and snacks.
Daily breakfasts were excellent and resembled a 5 star hotel experience. Location couldn’t be better and parking was provided free.
We highly recommend this property and big thanks to the owner Pamela.

We spent three nights at St John's lodge and were glad that we had. The establishment is professionally run but with a very homely and friendly feel. It is located within easy walking distance of restaurants and the lake foreshore but is far enough away to ensure a great night's rest.
Real value for money.

We stayed 3 nights. The ambience was excellent with lake views and expansive grounds. The hotel was not too big, and the food was excellent quality. The staff were attentive and delivered top rate service. The room was comfortable with excellent quality bedding, bathroom towels and accessories.

Bernard and Michelle were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and good facilities. Quiet location but very handy to shops, restaurants and transport. If we were ever back in Bowness we would be happy to stay there again.
