The Cottage is a pleasant accommodation in Windermere, located not too far from the train and bus station. I enjoyed my stay, however my room had cobwebs which doesn't look good.

The room facilities were a bit disappointing. The TV remote control did not respond properly, some of the letters on the buttons had worn off, and the remote itself was quite dirty, so I did not feel comfortable touching it. In addition, The bidet toilet seat was also switched off, so I could not use it on the first day. Overall, I felt that the room facilities were not properly checked before my arrival.

Stayed in room 6 on the top floor for a romantic weekend away with the Mrs. The room was lovely and the bath was a really nice added extra. We had a slight issue with one of the radiators not heating which caused the room to be cold, however I called one of the provided numbers and an electric heater was provided within literally 5 minutes by a lovely girl working there. Breakfast was really nice and the staff were super accommodating. I would definitely recommend considering a stay here and room 6 was a lovely room for a romantic night away.

Lovely

We have just returned from a lovely stay in the lakes, problem with room on arrival but was sorted straight away. Breakfast was good and lady serving breakfast was lovely made sure you left full. Hotel was closing for 6 weeks to do some renovation and updating which is good overall would stay again.

A trip of two halves.

We booked for 4 nights but had to change rooms after the 2nd night. The mattress in room 5 was stained and smelly. The room had a beam across the bed (with lots of wires behind it!) and we both banged our head on the beam. Not sure why such a small room had a three seater sofa in it. The new room, room 10, was much nicer and fresher. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice and friendly love the loo....

I had to ring to find out room number but was fine after that rather small room but well decorated and handy plugs and a light thing, charger which didn't work. I loved the Japanese loo thing. And fab bathroom. Great welcome at breakfast, quick and professional.

Stylish

Room was not very big, but stylish and with facilities such as wireless chargers, multi-colored led lights, shower toilet etc. Breakfast options were a bit limited, but service has great. Only issue was the traffic outside which was quite noisy, combined with heat forcing us to keep windows.

Very clean and bedrooms really up to date and modern, Great location for shops pubs bars and restaurants. Just a short drive to the lake . Great stay I would highly recommend.
