"A lovely property in a great location. We had a lovely few days exploring the area, with lots to do. Property in good condition and plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 children. Great communications with the host prior to stay, would recommend it."

"Excellent location and views across the ocean. A tasteful and sympathetic conversion right next to the beaches, with safe, designated parking. Our host was exceptionally helpful both before and during our stay, always quick to respond, accommodating and cheerful. The property is tastefully well-furnished for comfort and relaxation. It is a lovely place.Unfortunately for our party, the stone, spiral staircases were tricky to navigate, particularly for my elderly mother. She is quite sprightly for her age and we hadn't asked questions about accessibility, which we now realize we need to. Also, for us, having to bring the dog in and out of the property via the underground garage was awkward.We had a lovely time, enjoying walking, swimming, visiting local sights and excellent local restaurants. I would happily visit again but not with Mum or a dog."

"Lovely place to stay, magnificent view of the sea. The house was clean, very well equipped kitchen, lovely comfortable beds. The day we arrived was so hot and there are no fans, but I messaged the owner and next day he had left one at the front door! I would definitely recommend."

"We had a lovely stay here! The view was incredible, as was the location. The property was clean, and communication was great from the point of booking right through to checkout. A couple of small points - we did have a lot of fruit flies in the kitchen due to the time of year, and the microwave didn't seem to work during our stay, which was less than ideal. Not enough to mark us down though, as we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation otherwise."

"Nach schöner Anfahrt von Folkstone wurden wir von der Gastgeberin herzlich empfangen.Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Bildern im Buchungssystem. Sauber , aufgeräumt und sehr schön und Stil voll eingerichtet. Zum Empfang gab es eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit. ( selbst gebackenes Brot und typisch englischen Kuchen ,lecker)Wir können die Unterkunft empfehlen. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung sind mit dem Auto zu erreichen un der schöne Strand ist auch nicht weit.GRÜSSE NACH ST JOHN"

"Beautiful position in portwrinkle and hot tub has a fantastic view. Cottage is old and quirky. Bathroom is downstairs and probably could do with an update but is okay. Lovely comfy bed. It took a while to work out the TV but that's probably us! Silas Cove bar is definitely worth several visits. Welcome pack with milk and scones very appreciated."

"We have just come back from a lovely few days, and had a great time - I would definitely book again, This is a fantastic cottage in a lovely location with sea views in both directions. Portwinkle is a lovely, small village right on the coast with two beaches, the South West Coast path running through, and even a licensed beach bar open into the evening. Being Cornwall, we had a variety of weather, including unbroken sunshine and almost too hot for the coast path, through to fog so thick we couldn't see the hillside or the sea!The apartment is great. The provided directions were perfect (though a little out of date - the Jolly Roger is now Silas Cove and the parking prices have risen) and the tight access to the included parking was well described.The views are maximised with the living and kitchen space on the top floor, with bedrooms below, and the cinema room in the basement. It is well furnished with lots of good quality cookware and utensils. We even managed to cook a full roast dinner for 7. As always with these type of places, the knives are blunt, so we were glad we had brought some decent, sharp knives with us (this isn't a complaint, just a comment - I doubt most guests could be trusted not to ruin good knives). There are plenty of glasses (including plastic) and a great collection of beach things to use. The hot tub is ace, though not the 'jacuzzi' style you may see elsewhere. It was really nice to sit and enjoy the views and the sea air."
