"From start to finish this was a great stay. Would highly recommend staying here as a base for seeing Whitby as well as all of the fossil hunting tours in the area. "
"Staff were very ,friendly rooms were nice and clean as was the bedding, however we had twin beds which were a bit small and the mattress was very bouncy but over all we had a good time "
"Very close to Whitby swing bridge so handy for attractions, restaurants, coop 3 minute walk if want self catering. Newly renovated, very clean, lovely views."
"Superb. Fab location near station and CoOp, parking spot opposite, lovely comfy new clean flat,
comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and bathroom, they have thought of everything! Highly recommend. "
"This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in and we have been going to Whitby for 35 years !!
Everything was perfect it had a super king bed , extra large fluffy bath towels , top end fixtures and fittings, everything felt so luxurious, it was spotlessly clean and had its own secure parking space !!
Can’t wait till we can come again."
"Modern, well fitted out apartment. Great to have an indoor car park. Watching the steam trains from the window was a bonus. I'm guessing though that the radiators will be well used in the cooler months."
"Great place to stay. Welcome basket on arrival. Heating good. Washing machine and airer came in handy. 20 minutes to walk into Whitby. Parking outside front. Would definitely stay here again. "
"The Cleanliness of this apartment was apalling stained dirty carpets, kettle was filthy hairs and dirt just about everywhere and cobwebs and spiders just about in every corner of each room couldn’t wait to leave I’m so pleased we had only booked one night."

"Just back after a three day stay at the Royal. We had a wonderful time. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bar was spacious with plenty of seating. We will definitely be returning.

"We had a lovely welcome at check in 💕
The parking was super we got parked outside which was convenient and we were given a parking permit. So that took the stress out of parking as Whitby was busy. The hotel is quirky and fabulous which we loved. We stayed in the crows nest on the the top floor. It had 3 bedrooms, living room, bathroom and seperate toilet. Each room is themed and the kids loved the treasure chest full of dressing up! Our room had beautiful views over the harbour. We went out for dinner to Trenches it's was amazing. Best fish and chips in Whitby 💕 We only booked room only so for breakfast we went out too! But there is an option of a continental breakfast at the hotel .We used the hotel as a base it's a super location and great for a short stay especially for a family of five which is difficult to find 💕. We were also given complimentary milk and tea and coffee making facilities in our apartment and fresh orange juice in the morning which is a lovely touch thank you! We would recommend experiencing this unique hotel which capulates the imagination and looks over on to the famous Whitby Abby 💕We had a wonderful stay thank you to the La Rosa hotel and wonderful staff!"
"Excellent check in by Matt, enabled us to check in early and took all our bags up to the room for us. Room was clean and comfortable and we couldn't hear any noise from the bar downstairs. Excellent location opposite the train station and all local amenities on the doorstop.
Unfortunately the live act that was on was singing IRA Support songs and when my partner objected and complained we were asked to leave the bar. The singer did admit that he was wrong and had caused us being told to leave"
