"Stayed for a couple of days mid Jan.
Room was really clean and comfortable and modern.
Staff very friendly and helpful
A perfect base to explore and relax
Good breakfast in the morning "
"We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre.
The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels.
We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights.
We will recomnend a stay at Penny Hedge.
Staff could not do enough for us , all very friendly and polite. We will come again now we know of the hotel .
Caroline and Laura were helpful , we rang because we could not quite find your location on our sat nav. staff helped us on this matter and then found you quickley. kind regards to all at penny Hedge. Ann and David Jackson."
"Beautiful hotel, lots of character and really friendly staff. We stayed in La Rosa room and enjoyed a delicious cocktail in the lounge before going out to explore Whitby. Thoroughly recommend!"
"The room was spacious, spotless and had everything we needed, bathroom was also spotless and again had everything needed
The staff are friendly and made us feel welcomed from arrival. The only thing that could be made better would be an addition of a full drench shower because there was certainly room for one"
Cottage in the centre of Whitby - beautiful coastal and Abbey views
10/10 Excellent
"Location was perfect . The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed . The bedrooms and bathroom were particularly large so we had lots of space and lots of cupboard space too. Loved the free standing bath ! "
"A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and the bedrooms are a good size too. There are several uneven, steep steps walking up to the cottage so I wouldn’t recommend it to people who are unsteady on their feet. The owners left some biscuits and milk on the fridge which was a nice gesture. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future when visiting Whitby."
