"The room was very dark with only 2 bedside lights and a lamp on the dressing table. There was no central light which meant that we had to rely on daylight if we wanted to read or do anything like that. This was during the late spring so it must be really dark in the autumn/winter. The cooked breakfast was cold, as were the plates, and there wasn't much choice apart from this. For the first 2 mornings we were there, the coffee machine was out of order and teas and coffees were served in flasks. On the 3rd morning the coffee machine had been repaired, but there was only one machine for a multitude of guests. This resulted in a long queue - the flasks were much better. The toaster was next to the coffee machine and the queue for drinks blocked access to the toaster. All in all, a poorly laid out breakfast restaurant which needs re-planning."

"The appartement itself was well appointed and very comfortable, but our experience was negatively affected by an incident in the parking area. We were approached by a male individual who we could not identify as either a guest or a member of management. He berated us for how we had parked, speaking in a rude and intimidating manner. Had there been an issue with our parking, a polite explanation would have been appreciated. Instead, the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. As far as we were concerned we had parked in a designated parking area. I would encourage the host to ensure that any parking concerns are handled professionally and respectfully."

"It felt wonderful to be able to come back to this hotel at the end of a long day. The staff and management really go all out to make guests feel at home. The rooms have very comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms! Meals are also very nice - and again, it was so comforting not to have to go out again at the end of the day. They excel in hospitality and they are just off the M74 and close to a 24- hour gas station. About a ten minute walk or short drive up the street, there is a variety of shops. That includes a lively bakery. I can recommend the iced gingerbread, but other things looked equally tasty. Nice to take back to the room for tea."
