"What a find! Needed a hotel asap as our camper needed extended time at Grarage so couldn’t go to our booked campsite. Booked at 4 Friday and arrived at 7:30pm and this was half term! Wasn’t expecting much but our spacious room was incredible, double fronted window directly over looking beach, incredible sunrise each morning over water. Used Tesco club points so only cost a few pounds. Reasonable rates anyway. Friendly staff. Decor is not tasteful but that didn’t bother us, pleasant and clean everywhere. Ask early if you want a parking permit but free overnight carparking is a 8 minute walk away if you miss out. "

"We took our grandchildren away for the weekend to meet up with family. We had an amazing time. The hotel was the icing on the cake for us. Clean, warm, lovely breakfasts and friendly staff. You can't ask for more."

"We had a lovely stay in the George. A wonderful warm welcome and a lovely spacious room. All the staff were friendly and so helpful and attentive. We don't have a dog but there were well behaved dogs there. Excellent value for money. A short walk to the seafront and the town centre. "

"Lovely welcome from reception and easy to check in, parking was ok and understandable that there is only so much they can do to accommodate this with the land around the hotel, so it works once you get the concept. Amazing location right opposite the sea, we were lucky enough to have the sea view room to the front of the hotel too! Plenty of choice at breakfast with very well cooked choice and other items. Good well stocked bar too. Rooms are very clean with no concerns at all about the sheets etc, only gripe would be the pillows! They were awful as its like they have been washed and tumbled so all the filling has gone lumpy (they were all like this too as there was 5 of us in one family room) but having said that we didn't let it ruin the night away in a wonderful location. We would be more thna happy to return also. "
