Very good quality of service and surroundings, but not walking distance form local shopping

This is my review from Trip Advisor... Slice of heaven! I'm glad I succumbed to booking at the Sofitel Mumbai BKC as a treat for my family and me. The hotel is grand and luxurious, and so is the service. I read a couple of reviews that mentioned the service wasn't great. But my experience has been anything but that. The property is perfect if you don’t want the hustle of downtown Mumbai. It is in the industrial area about 40 minutes out, around 1200 Indian Rupees uber into Mumbai. The hotel is lovely, staff are excellent, as is the food. Breakfast was sensational. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay outside the central area.

Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. We had a very comfortable stay. Will definitely return to this hotel.

We were on floor 14 and had a "Deluxe Delight" room with a view towards the sea (it was only a little more than a standard "Superior Charm" room, but this is on the higher floors, therefore I believe quieter and looks fairly recently redecorated). It was reasonably roomy, had very nice decor and a fantastic view.
