There was no balcony with our unit and the door opened directly into the open air which was terribly unsafe; a crack in the door patched with duct tape. Could have used more blankets as well. "This hotel was pretty good value for money. The rooms are extremely compact, so keep this in mind if you have a lot of luggage, but has everything you need. It’s the opposite side of the river to the main area of Amsterdam, however there is a frequent ferry which is around a 15 minute walk away, which connects directly to the central train station. The staff were all great, but the hotel doesn’t have too much nearby. In the hotel itself, there is a snack bar, but it is extremely, extremely expensive."
