"The place is nice but received an additional charge which the Hawthorn hotel could not explain…told me to reject the charge ..extra hassle I don’t need. "

"Before booking at this hotel I read the reviews and there were a lot of great reviews. When I arrived it was nothing like the reviews described. Upon entering the lobby there was an odor. I booked a non-smoking room online but during check-in was told there were no more non-smoking rooms so they put me in a smoking room. When we got off the elevator there was an odd smell in the hallway. When we got in the room the smell was horrible! There were 2 rolls of used toilet paper in the bathroom, stains on the tub/shower, and trash on the floor. We were uncomfortable even sleeping in those beds. Due to the smell we had to leave asap due to me literally getting sick to my stomach. I would never book here again. "

"The staff at this property are so nice and helpful. Neal at the afternoon/evening front desk is so welcoming and informative with information about restaurants in the area. Breakfast is good with plenty of choices. "
