"The location was easy to find. It was nice to open the patio door and walk out onto the grass and then the sand. Unfortunately, people walking by can easily look into the living room. That was really the only downside. The view of the sunsets are amazing. One rainy day, I looked out and saw whales spy hopping. We never had a problem parking. Shopping and restaurants are close by."

"Good things-clean and well maintained. Located across the road from one of the longest beaches on the island. Lanai’s in the main building have great water views. Bad things-they have cable TV which has 300 channels of everything to never wanted to watch. No sports & very limited news. I was unable to download any streaming services. Their idea of AC is two large ceiling fans. They also have a permanent resident who is unique. Their no dogs allowed, yet she has two. When kids get noisy at the pool she sends out the big dog to the lanai to bark at the kids. She plays a piano every day. She is very confrontational and use a bullhorn to argue with guest in the pool area. It is a pleasant place to stay, but be aware!"

"We were a party of 6 spread into 2 rooms. We were in the tower, which was fine- although not that convenient since we were at the kids pool everyday, which is on the other side of the resort. The housekeeping service was excellent- never disturbed us - always working around when we were out. Rooms were left tidy and clean. Mostly, we spent our days at the kids pool. Chairs were plentiful and service was top notch. Easy to order lunch and drinks without having to go anywhere. Pool was really awesome for kids to play at and the water slides were great. Always kept clean and accessible. Towels and complimentary sunscreen were amazing. Our kids also enjoyed the lobby area and games room. We had a family member babysit kids in this area while we went for dinner and it was easy to keep them all entertained. The resort shops had nice beach wear and the store has whatever you might want. We didn't rent a car and felt that we had a great time staying at the resort all week. Small groceries and hot/cold deli is available across the street at Island Grocer. I would have liked a fridge that was a little bigger. The shops at the mall across had nice summer clothing and I bought some new pieces there. We ate at the buffet a few times and the food was delicious and the value was good if travelling with kids 5 and under. There was low cost DIY laundry at the bottom of tower- which we appreciated. We had a wonderful holiday!!"

"Beautiful property. Close to the beach-Kamaole beaches just across the street. Good location. Room had beach accessories such as chairs, umbrellas, toys, goggles, ice bags for picnics. Overall clean. We will use this property again when we return!"

"The pictures of Haiku #2 are greatly misleading. It shows a lovely living area with comfortable furniture. What we found instead was only a loveseat. There were no chairs, unless we wanted to use a dining chair. The living room space was cavernous with only the loveseat and a small coffee table. The bathroom shows a double sink; the unit has a simgle sink. In the property description it says there is a queen size bed, but what's actually there is a full bed. A queen size would never have even fit in the very small bedroom. Very disappointed."

"The staff upgraded us to ocean view room. The room has srunning views of the ocean. One of our most memorable experiences in Maui!!. Thank you Hana-Maui! Will definitely go back in the future."
