"Even though it absolutely is a 5-star place to stay, I prefer that no one knows because it’s so Wonderful to be away from the crowds and tourists!! IYKYK…
It’s my home away from home and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I can help it.
I recommend checking in after you hit up the grocery store for essentials. Because once you’re there, you’ll probably not want to leave the beach. The sunsets are magnificent!"
🌺Oahu Million Dollar Ocean View • Sleeps 14, Pool, Spa, Near Beach, w/AC, BBQ🌺
10/10 Excellent
"This home was absolutely amazing! It is in Makaha Valley which is tucked away in the mountain. We had a view of the mountain and the ocean. The house is warm and inviting. It is bright and decorated so amazing. They have so much stuff available for you, we absolutely loved our stay. The AC units were a huge plus because it was very warm. The pool is amazing and so is the gym! We used both. The neighborhood is active and everyone is friendly and kind. The house was clean and bug free. It is well maintained and very loved. The beds were very comfortable. The towels and linens soft! Just an absolute amazing experience. I was so blessed to have found this home that allowed us to all be together, all my adult children and grandkids under one roof for an amazing vacation! Thank you so much! When we come back I would rent this property again without a doubt. Aloha!!!"
"The home was beautiful, and the views are unbeatable. The host responds quickly - usually within 15 minutes. This did feel like a long time, though, when the fire alarm in the house went off after we used the provided hair dryer. (No fire!) We couldn’t turn off the alarm, and the phone number provided was automated and said they’d call back. It was faster to message on VRBO, and they responded in about 12 minutes. Luckily the alarm turned itself off in that time, but it went off again a few minutes later. It was in every room and the exterior of the house, so it was very loud. They had a team member at the house within 15 minutes to check it out which was incredible timing! The power also went out in a small storm during our first day, and it was out for 5 hours. We also had no cell service due to the storm, so we couldn’t notify the host and had to just wait it out. Luckily, when the rain stopped and we waited for the power, the pool was worth using! The A/Cs kept the house very comfortableThe home location is through Waianae. Keep this in mind if you plan to do things on any other portion of the island. It took us 1-2 hours to get anywhere (especially the north shore), so a lot of our trip was spent driving. But the home itself and the neighborhood it’s in is beautiful. After everything, we still recommend this home. But be prepared for the extensive drives if you don’t plan to stay on the west side / Kapolei (which has plenty of stores and restaurants)"
3-bedroom house in Mākaha Valley with possibility to add ADU if available
10/10 Excellent
"A very clean new home with in a gated community. The house was fully equipped with all the items needed for a lengthy stay. A well stocked kitchen is a bonus. Traveling with a sports team with plenty of sleeping areas. Listing shows sleeps 10. Two bedrooms each with a bunkbed and a daybed with trundle bed. The primary bedroom has a King Bed. Two full baths upstairs and a half-bath down. The two living room couches fold out into additional sleeping areas/beds. This property has an attached one bedroom/bath ADU that makes the ground floor feel smaller. Separate entry and fenced yard. Shared driveway. Separate rental and charge. Nice unit. We didn't rent it.There were enough towels, but some of the boys were looking for blankets and could not locate them. There was a closet with new blankets, but they didn't know if they could take the tags off and use the new ones. Laundry in the garage with an unfamiliar washing machine. Part of the check out procedure is washing towels. The raised wood deck in the back yard would have been nice to use, if the weather was better and there was more time. The community center with a pool/spa/fitness room was utilized. That was a bonus. Aside from the nasty weather on one day of our trip, it was a great trip and a fantastic place to stay. We needed two houses due to the size of our group and both were on the same street. The host, Iwa, was super! She responded quickly and is very friendly. Great rental!"
"The house was perfect for our family to cook, watch movies, relax and enjoy each other. We went to the beach all day and enjoyed using the umbrellas beach chairs and towels that were provided. The only thing that would have made it better would be an outside grill for barbecuing."
"My family just stayed in Makaha Valley at this property and had a wonderful time. It fit our family of five well. The front gate makes it feel safe and the landscaping around the grounds are incredible. The views were stunning and we enjoyed every sunset and night full of stars and the moonlight on the ocean. The place was clean and comfortable. The communication with the host was easy and timely. The kitchen was very nice and we used it to prepare meals instead of eating out. We loved using the community pool and hot tub. This location is about 45 min west of Honolulu but we liked it that way. The location is in a beautiful gated community tucked away in the valley. The locals have all been friendly. We would love to stay here again someday. "
"The house was good for our family of 6! The en suite bathroom however is in the bedroom with 2 queen beds not the king bedroom. Host was responsive and even brought us a bbq which the property did not have upon arrival. Pool area was lovely. Beach 5 minutes away was great!"
