"The property is quirky, the staff are excellent, the dining is good. There are some old-fashioned touches - washing lines in the bathroom - and in places there is a clear need for refurbishment, but it's a comfortable place to stay. And the swimming pool is excellent. I realise from other reviews that one must book a superior room in order to have bottled water and tea-making facilities in the room, but in my view this should be available in all rooms as standard."

The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable, the staff goes way and beyond to be helpful, the breakfast buffet is so diversified and delicious, and location could not be better.
