A real venetian house! It's located at the second floor of Cà d'Asfalto, a venetian palace of '800. There is a wonderful view on the Cannaregio canal.
It's very bright, cozy and silent, and it's located in the heart of the most caratheristic place in the city. Very close to the railway station (only 5 minutes) and the vaporetto boarding (100mt). It's composed of: living room, kitchen/dining room, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with shower. Air Conditioned in each bedroom and living room. WiFi. NO ELEVATOR

As always a great stay in Venice. This was our second time and we really enjoyed the balcony on the canal, great local restaurants nearby. And easy vaporetto stops to take you anywhere in Venice and the other islands. Also easy stop from the airport or train station. Highly recommend-will not disappoint.

The home is beautiful. It’s comfortable and it felt like home. The host was very accommodating and attentive to the smallest details/amenities. The home is at a great location, quiet street and near the train station and water transportation options. Rita was very nice, meeting us at the home and providing us with great information and recommendations for dining. There is a nice live jazz bar near the home. I would definitely recommend the home and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Great host & fabulous property

Stepping into this apartment felt like returning home. It was clean, spacious, close to a water bus stop & had a fabulous view.I loved it.Rita was a great host & I highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay away from the manic crowds, yet walking distance if you wish. Loved the local feel of the area. And do eat at “very good”.. it too is amazing.

An amazing stay!

We had a most wonderful time staying in this truly beautiful home. It had everything we needed and more. Rita was great and super friendly and accommodating! I would highly recommend this as a must stay. The only thing I would suggest is getting mattress toppers to soften the beds and some softer pillows. But we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great apartment ideally located

Large apartment. All the bedrooms are nice and comfortable. Two bathrooms was also very nice to have. The kitchen is fully equipped. The location is ideal, overlooking a rather large canal, but far enough from the main tourist streets and grand canal so that it’s quiet at night. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful apartment, great location

This apartment was beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated, in true Venetian style. We felt like we were guests in someone’s home. The location was great; close to major sites in walking distance but far enough off the beaten track to feel like we were staying in a Venetian neighborhood. The apartment had everything you could want or need. At check in, Chiara was very kind and helpful, and gave us a great restaurant recommendation very close to the apartment that we took her up on and it did not disappoint! Overall, we loved the place and highly recommend it.

Wonderful Stay

Everything about the property was great .Only thing could be better explained is stairs, There are 36 to the Apartment. Would be difficult if person had physical limitations. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed watching boat traffic from the balcony

Great Location and Beautiful Apartment

We spent 3 nights in this lovely apartment. We arrived by train and walked to the apartment in 10-12 minutes. Check-in was smooth and we were given directions to go to the grocery store, which was a 10 minute walk (very nice grocery store). There are many, many restaurants and much shopping close to the apartment. View from balcony is very nice.

A fantastic property located in a great spot. Close to great restaurants and cafes. Overlooking a canal bussing with activity that you will love to just sit and watch. Water taxi very close and short easy walk to train station. Property met all our needs as was very well maintained & equipped. Will be booking again when i return in future. Will not disappoint!

Rita was amazing and the apartment was clean and comfortable. Our every need was anticipated from reusable bags to get groceries, to umbrellas in case it rained. We appreciated having coffee and a small bowl of snacks. Those little touches make all the difference! The area was beautiful and it was easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Guglie bridge

The location was great. The neighborhood is pretty quiet but there are some good restaurants nearby. Crepes House by Pepe and Irene is good and they are very nice. Casa Bonita and Very Good were also tasty. There are 3 Alilaguna stops nearby. The apartment was very well stocked and comfortable. We enjoyed people watching from the balcony. The only drawback is the stairs. 3rd floor with luggage in tow is tough when you're older.

An Enjoyable Venetian Stay in Cannaregio.

The apartment overlooked the Cannaregio canal with fabulous views from the balcony. Watching the daily routine of boat transport up & down the canal was so interesting. The apartment was furnished in an older Venetian style,well equipped & very comfortable. No lift,( one being installed) with apartment being on 2nd floor of a very old historic building,close to restaurants & shopping.

Just a wonderful the second time!

This was our second time staying at The Venetian House, and it was just as wonderful as the first! Our awesome host, Rita, greeted us with a warm welcome upon arrival. After a quick reintroduction to the apartment, we were relaxing and enjoying the local area in no time. Once again, we appreciated the comfortable seating area, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the air conditioning (a rarity in Europe – IYKYK). The terrace is fantastic to view the bustling walkway and canals below with coffee during the morning or a drink as the day turns to night. The apartment is close to public transport, but also easy to use as a home base while exploring the city on foot. We can't say enough good things about this apartment! Thank you, Rita, for your warm hospitality – we hope to return again in the future!

Great Location

It’s located just a little away from all the tourist craziness. No lift, so gotta carry your bags up 2 floors. Yes! The bottom floor is 0, next floor is 1, then 2. The apartment was very clean. Rita met us at the door and explained everything and gave us some tips for getting around. Our only complaint was the low water pressure. There are 2 bathrooms but only one (small) shower. The other has a tub and a handheld sprayer. We washed some clothes and hung it outside like the locals do. We would stay again.

At home in Venice

Wow! I really want to go back. Not just to Venice but to this charming apartment. Amazing location - walkable to bus and train station. Easy access to vaporetto to airport if needed. You feel like you are walking into someone's home as you enter and then you realize happily - this is my home now, at least for a few days! A true 3 bedroom with 2 baths and a full large kitchen. Really can make yourself feel at home. The location in Canneregio is great as it is not overly touristy and there are amazing restaurants, wine stores, and pastry shops that the locals love as well right nearby. It is also quiet at night. Host is lovely and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay. Grazie mille Rita.

Lovely home in wonderful part of Venice

Had a fantastic multi day stay in this home--and I mean Home vs holiday rental. It really feels like You're staying in your Italian Uncle's house and not a generic bare bones tourist flat. The location is an easy 12-ish min walk from the train station, on a canal with lots of life but not too busy. Vaperetto water bus stop is about 2 min walk away. Short walk to cafes and shops, with the most beautiful grocery (Teateo Italia) about 10 min away. The area is quiet (we did have a bit of morning construction on the edge of the canal but couldn't hear it from the bedrooms and was interesting to watch how things are done differently!) The Walk up wasn't bad from ground level, and all rooms were well represented by the photos. Beds were comfy, showers were hot, laundry machine easy to use, and kitchen is very well stocked and easy to cook in, and includes a dishwasher (!). Host provided bread and biscuits, and prior guests left lots of staples in the cabinets. There's soap, shampoo, dishwasher tabs, laundry soap, and hair dryers. Rita messaged me ahead of time and met us at the flat to show us the rooms and was available if we had any questions. Cleaning and tourist fee paid in cash ahead of time was well advertised and not a surprise at check in. Would love to return and spend a full week here exploring this magical city!

A wonderful apartment

This apartment is simply great. The check in process was very easy. The owners were communicative and gave us clear instructions, and were waiting for us when we arrived. The apartment is bright and spacious and clean. It has three real bedrooms that sleep a total of five on real beds, not cots or pull out couches. Good storage. The air conditioning works great. It has a real kitchen and living room. This really feels like someone’s home (a nice home) not a rental apartment. The kitchen and living room are spacious. The balcony overlooking the canal is great. There is a big washing machine which we made good use of, as we had a lot of laundry after several days of travels. It also has two full bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a tub. This was perfect for our family of five, which includes two teenagers and a younger child. When we were looking at places I considered some that were less expensive but I am very happy I spent the money on this one. One thing to consider is that it is relatively far from the major tourist attractions like San Marco (about a 30 minute walk). We enjoyed the walk because Venice is so beautiful but that could be a problem if walking that much is difficult for you. On the plus side it is very close to the train station. This is great because there are no taxis in Venice (no cars, anyway) so it was easy to get our bags to the apartment from the train. We loved our stay in this place.

Loved the location with 15 min easy walk to train station. Enjoyed having quieter neighborhood with fewer tourists, but still plenty of cafes and osterias. Appreciated having 2 bathrooms, functional living room, took family pics on balcony! Would absolutely stay again

We loved our stay here. We didn’t cook but there were ample supplies. The house has a great view and was comfortable. The only negative was shower pressure but as a whole, this is a great place right on the canal in a quiet area of a Venice.
