It’s in a residential neighbourhood. Super convenient. If not travelling with many suitcases, it is just 10mins walk from Santa Lucia Station (one bridge crossing with ramp). It is an old building, so don’t expect too fancy design. But it is good enough for the stay and convenient to access everywhere in Venice.

The location of the property is great. It was a little confusing finding it but not too bad. The bed and pullout couch were comfortable. The bathroom had mold everywhere. It didn’t seem like the apartment was cleaned in quite some time. The WiFi signal was poor and it barely reached the bedroom. Doesn’t even make it to the living room.

Not very comfortable for a family.

This was the final stop on our family's Italy vacation and definitely the least enjoyable of our rentals. The building itself is not well maintained - the front door handle continually fell off when we tried to exit the building, there were a lot of cobwebs and bugs inside the main entrance, the staircase was dingy with very old, dirty carpet and the key lockbox didn't work. The unit itself was not very comfortable. The sofa bed in the kitchen didn't pull out (and was very dirty inside when we tried to wrestle it open) and the main bedroom mattress was very thin, lumpy and unsupportive. There was not as much decor in this apartment as the others that are pictured here from the same building, and the space felt very plain and uninviting. We also got bitten by mosquitos while inside the unit. We did have a good working a/c, as well as hot water for the shower. And we were able to use the kitchen to make breakfast in the morning. Would not recommend this apartment.

Great Location and building but awful condition

Unfortunately, the place is poorly maintained. There were countless dead insects smashed on the walls, which were also stained with dirt and moisture. The curtains were extremely dirty, and the floor was filthy. I walked around in my socks and had to throw them away afterward—they were completely black from the dirt. The location is excellent and the building itself is beautiful, but the apartment doesn’t reflect that at all. There were lots of mosquitoes, and although we asked for repellent, we didn’t get a response until the next morning—by then, it was too late, and we’d already had a rough night. With just a bit of effort—some deep cleaning, a fresh coat of paint, air fresheners, better pillows, and a more comfortable mattress—the place could be much more inviting. It doesn’t need to be luxurious to feel cozy and comfortable. I hope this feedback helps you improve the space.

So I’ve stayed in a lot of places on my travels, but I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a worse place than this. I was not good at all. Here are my comments: Positives: Good location, fast internet, large kitchen, large fridge, small laundry washer. Relatively large master bedroom, good communication with the owner via WhatsApp. Negatives: Filthy dirty, mold everywhere (including on the bedside lamps), Air Conditioning in the hallway so the rooms are really hot and they don’t cool down at all. If you open the windows, the place fills with bugs. The smallest TV I’ve ever seen, located in the kitchen. No TVs in either bedroom. Bed mattress is extremely old and creeks when you move around and the springs push through and hurt your back. Shower has mold everywhere and doesn’t drain quickly, kitchen is filthy and you wouldn’t want to cook in it. When you enter the building, you need to hold your breath because the mold smell is so intense it’s unbelievable. With a little love and attention, this could be a nice place, but they really need to put some work and effort into it.

My friends and I enjoyed the location of this property. We did encounter a few challenges that impacted our stay. The directions to access the property weren’t entirely straightforward, and we found ourselves relying on trial and error to figure things out. On our first day, we saw long strands of hair left in the bathtub drain. After using the shower, we understood why and it was because the shower drained extremely slow causing water to pool and overflow in the tub. Additionally, the shower handle couldn’t be secured in place due to a broken attachment. The toilet presented a recurring issue, as the flush button consistently got stuck and caused the water to keep running unless manually fixed. In the kitchen, the lighting was quite dim likely due to missing bulbs. The headboards on the beds also seemed to need more thorough cleaning, as they appeared dusty and worn. While the neighbors didn’t come across as particularly welcoming, we can understand how frequent guest turnover might be disruptive to those living there permanently. One of the more difficult parts of our experience was the communication with the host. We found ourselves needing to follow up multiple times before getting responses, which left us feeling a bit unsupported during our stay. With some improvements and more consistent support, this property could be a much more comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

We stayed three nights there with my family of 4. As soon as we checked in, we noticed there were some issues with the apartment but the staff was responsive and did send maintenance people over the next day. Nothing was resolved but the staff tried again and sent the maintenance guys back. Not everything was resolved but at least they installed a new washing machine for us so that we could do some laundry the last night. Please read the most recent reviews of other guests before you book the place. I have to say the location is great and it would have been better if the apartment was more nicely maintained.

The rooms were too dark. Shower filled up with water quickly. The walls and ceiling looked old because of chipped paint or dust, not sure which. Very close to the train station and one of the main streets. Fridge was good. The beds were uncomfortable.

Great location to stay at. Quiet at night. But close to things. The washing machine was great and the drying lines outside. We got some clothes pins because there weren’t any there. The shower door needs to be replaced (it’s kinda nonexistent) But overall we were very happy with the stay for the money. 2 bedrooms. Room for 5 to sleep if needed. Kitchen with utensils and such. And a refrigerator with freezer. And a supermarket less then a mile away (and a great fruit stand right outside the alley) Again. Overall. Great stay. Place needs a little love here and there like the shower and some floor repair. But well worth it.

I was disappointed by the quality of the accommodation. Moisture stains are everywhere, the lights flickered regularly, and we didn't even have a proper duvet cover (there was a sheet underneath, and a sheet on top of the duvet instead). Definitly does not look nearly as clean as the pictures show. The apartment does, however, have the equipment indicated.

The apartment is in a great area - that is the main drawcard. It is fairly neat, but it needs quite a bit of work. You get what you pay for in this area I suppose. The handrail leading up to the apartment is broken, I had to stick it back into the wall. There are a lot of steps so make sure you can carry your luggage up there. The kitchen was very adequate to cook meals in and there are two great supermarkets close by. The air conditioner in the second room was not working and wiry Italy’s record heatwave, it was quite unbearable for my daughter. They said they would send a maintenance person on the second day but no one appeared to have come. As stated earlier, the location is fantastic, so I would recommend it purely on that basis alone.
