Charming Romantic Yacht Harbor Beach Cottage

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was just as described. Although we didn't take pets it would be perfect for them. We walked to the beach almost daily. Walked to great dinning places but the kitchen is very well equiped to eat in. Plenty of places to enjoy sitting outside in the fully fenced yard. The neighborhood was VERY quiet. Parking was perfect right in front. Communication with our host could not have been better. If I am ever in Santa Cruz again I will want to stay here again."

"Clean, quiet location. Walkable to breakfast joints and Deke's Market/Deli. Comfortable bed. Love the kitchenette. High ceilings so the room temperature stayed on the cool side. The Panasonic microwave/oven was high performance and allowed us many options for reheating some foods like our Hawaiian rice and crisp up our chicken katsu and leftover pizza. Perfect idea! The bathroom is also high ceiling and didn't get steamy from the shower; there's a window to open if that became a problem. Love the rainshower head, but we could have used more water pressue than the gentle rainfall it gave. We felt the room was too cool for us when we arrived but had a hard time figuring out the controls on the thermostat and ended up turning it off. The room never got stuffy even though we did that. We also had a small problem of ants crawling up from behind the bathroom sink one night after returning from our outing and contacted the staff right away. Great communication! They made plans immediately to come and cleaned out the problem area the very next day. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone."

"Absolutely charming little cottage just a short walk up from the beach. The beach itself is great, though busy. Lots of places you can walk to, including a local beer garden, and Starbucks is less than a block away for morning coffee. Extremely clean, though the property is a little older. Very quaint. Parking is limited, but it wasn't a probelm during my stay. Would return."
