"I genuinely never leave reviews, but for this experience, I had to. Ayla was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The hotel was very clean, the check in process was smooth, and Ayla went above and beyond during checkout to make sure I made it to my flight on time. She was quick to respond, attentive to detail, and truly made the experience stress-free. Honestly, she made my first trip to Iceland such a great experience, and I would definitely visit again and book with Reykjavik Residence!!!"

"Good location, nice property, convenient to walk for shopping and dining. Room was nice and adequate, our only issue was there was a narrow tub in restroom with a shower pointed from one side. There was a hinged glass partition separating the shower from the commode. Problem was, the glass naturally stopped in a position outside of the tub. This made it difficult to impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. We asked for a solution to this and front desk said they would send someone to correct it, but nothing changed. We ended up wedging a hairbrush to hold the glass within the boundary of the tub and still had a decent amount of water escape."

"Our stay at Alda Hotel was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond in every possible way and truly made our trip even more memorable. We were incredibly grateful to receive an early check-in since our room was already ready when we arrived after traveling. The breakfast offered a wonderful variety of options each morning, and everything was fresh and delicious. Every single member of the staff was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The location was also fantastic — perfectly situated for exploring Reykjavík while still feeling comfortable and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Alda Hotel to anyone visiting Iceland!"

"Our room was clean and airy. For an older building it is well maintained. One drawback is the strong odour of sulphate from the water. I would ask that a small fridge be added to the rooms. The breakfast was always the same thing and always cold; scrambled eggs cold, overcooked bacon cold, sausages cold, soggy potatoes cold. The fresh berries were bitter. The yogurt was very tasty as was the assortment of freshly baked bread. Lexi who was the receptionist almost the entire time we stayed here was absolutely amazing; very helpful with information about the surrounding area and features; as well as a wealth of information regarding tours and activities. Whenever we had a question or needed help booking tours or a transfer to the airport Lexi was always very friendly and helpful."

"The rooms were clean but the bathroom was small. We didn't add breakfast as the price was too high. Small bar, but no one usually there. They don't clean the room unless you ask. Rooms were sometimes warm so we opened the window. Good location... easy to get everywhere in the center."

"Fosshótel Baron was located at the perfect spot in Reykjavik where multiple establishments were at a walking distance. The hotel also has a parking lot in front of the entrance where guests can park (for a fee) and hotel guests get a small discount. Will stay here again!"

"Room and facilities were generally clean and at the top end of what you would expect given the price. A bed, toilet, and shower in the centre of Reykjavik was what we were looking for and that is what we got."
