Amazing new place in Tulum! Just two block walking from the bus station and the main avenue but in a quiet and safe area! Beautiful pool and great breakfast, everything is very well designed and great for pictures. Super friendly staff too, highly recommended!
It's not clear from the listing on Expedia, but this property is actually a hostel, with several additional rooms. Our room looked exactly like the photos, however there were a few issues. The air conditioner in the room simply wasn't strong enough for the size of the room so it was quite warm inside, there were very few outlets and the sink and shower water pressure was quite strong, often spraying water outside the sink/shower.
The staff were very friendly, offering to call taxis and set up tours for you, however we noted that several of the taxis they offered us were substantially more expensive than just negotiating with a driver on the street (they offered to get us a cab for a 5 minute drive for 200 pesos, a driver we flagged on the street did the drive for 70 for example).
The breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus and the women serving the food were very nice.
One thing to note is that there is a church across the street that was regularly playing very loud music into the evening, which made it hard to relax in the room.
Overall though, despite some issues, we were happy with our stay here.
The property is close to town and fairly clean, but the pool was a joke. I've seen bathtubs that are bigger. I wanted to lounge by the pool and was not able to. Very pricey for the actual amenities available.
