"Obviously for £40 a night I wasn't expecting much . Double bed was great. The room big enough. Great shower . Nice size TV in room. Could hear talking though from room below even with fan on and white noise from mobile. You do hear doors banging late at and early in the morning. Worth staying if you on a budget. Didn't try the food but looked good ."

"Every member of staff we met was very welcoming, friendly and professional. The room was very well equipped and the breakfast excellent. The special 6 course dinner was very much appreciated. The one concern, in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions, was that the room and especially the en suite was uncomfortably hot and cooled just a little by the fans provided. Air conditioning would have been very welcome!"

"A nice hotel, decent food and drinks offering. Staff were friendly, rooms were a bit dated and pokey but not an issue. Bonus of charging points for electric cars which saved us a trip out. The local area is fantastic and worth the visit"

"It was a great hotel and great location to be in a 3 star hotel with indoors and outdoor pool. No booking needed. You just used it when it suited you! The Victoria restaurant was good as well! Good food, the food was very British. For dinner you got a selection of starters, mains and desserts. I always found something I liked! What could be improved is a bit of modernising! We lived in a family room in the TLH Victoria part of the hotel and the carpets in the hallway most have been there since the war...! And better ventilation needed! Both in hallways and the rooms! The hallways smelt of old carpet and still air! The rooms smelt nice but were very hot. It was a fan in the room that helped but it was hard to sleep on the hotter days."
