The staff at Simon’s are amazing, very hospitable, friendly and helpful. They are the best source for finding local treasures (shopping, restaurants, activities) and will go out of their way so you enjoy Tonga. Don’t forget to read the floors The restaurant is amazing, you cannot leave without trying the banana split

Benefits from being only 2 star hotel. No competition means they are overpriced and staff need to be customer focused. Customer areas including pool area were not cleaned for days.

I’ve been to a couple of places ever since I got to Tonga but this by far my favorite. So clean and they have cooking supplies and a whole kitchen in my studio room. It was a studio but it’s big. ‘Uliti was so sweet and professional. Wifi hardly worked but it wasn’t a problem cos I had my own hotspot. Thank you again for being kind and good customer service.

The staff, including the restaurant are excellent. I can't say enough of the warm hospitality that was offered me throughout my 2 week stay. The hotel is well situated to lively nightime food options, walking along the waterfront, and close to town. The hotel is a little tired, but it also had its charm. Do yourself a favour and book one of the rooms facing the water - evenings on the patio taking in the ambiance are well worth the few extra $$ (versus a room with no balcony). Will definately go back to the Emerald. Thanks to the staff - wonderful!
