"We were married on Matamanoa Island 25yrs ago. It was beautiful to come back, not just to the resort, but to the people. Family members of those who were in my wedding party are employed there and we're so pleased to see the photos of their aunties, their mum and my warrior still works on the Island. "Sad to see the place is so run down, toilet doors by pool and restaurant that dont close nor have latches. Room cleaning is below average - face towels, cups and soap not replaced. Rubbish overflowing and not changed. Stones missing in outdoor shower floor. Gym had nothing to wipe or clean with. No pen present to sign in, no water fountain. Overall it is clear the resort is just thrashed and tired and many of the buildings need to be properly restored. Please forward this to owners. Staff however made all of that not seem so bad but we’d hate to fo back a third time to such a run down property. Its clear the owners are all about greed and less about preservation and upkeep"

"Lovely island with friendly staff and very nice beaches and views. The bathroom in the hotel room wasn’t completely clean in some places but the bed was comfortable and the overall decor was nice, and the air con worked well. There was a large range of good food on offer and there were lots of activities and excursions available to do each day. If you want a purely quiet, undisturbed, retreat-style location then you may want to go somewhere else as there is a bit of relaxed background bustle throughout the day, however the vibe on the island is still very relaxing. "

"Quiet rustic luxury. Rooms are thatched roof bures. It is winter here in July, so it is cool (60’s) at night. No rain as it is dry season. "

"Loved our time and highly recommend Tadrai island resort. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, all new our names as soon as we arrived. The food was sensational and the staff were more than happy to make changes to meals if requested. The room was good with great views, infinity pool, big bi-fold doors and a comfy bed. It did just need a little more TLC. Our towel rack was falling off the wall, some iffy electrical work and our pool had a big leak so the water level dropped every night so the infinity feature didn't work. The all inclusive is great value and they don't skimp out! We would love to go back! "
