Air conditioning did not work and after 5 calls to reception over 3 days a maintenance man turned up got it working then broke down after 40 mins. Got the room cleaned the night before we left only after complaining to reception. Not enough cups in room and no room cleaning so had to use dirty cups. The place is very disorganised.
Had a fantastic time at Mana Island Resort! Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Fiji - the pool and beach are both beautiful, and the staff made the experience particularly fantastic and memorable. I will definitely be back!
Great experience staying on Mana Island for two nights. Unfortunately the check in process was very unorganised and took way too long. Check out was also slow.
However other than this, we had a great time! The staff very friendly and helpful. The pools and poolside facilities were great, we enjoyed a morning snorkelling off the beach and the bure was clean and comfortable.
We arrived, apparently, the same day the resort reopened after filming Survivor and most of the staff were new. As a result, the check in process was a bit disorganized and no one was waiting for us at air strip, our luggage never made it to our room. After about 5 hours we went looking for it. There was no real system to the dinning and each time we went they were doing something different, this led to a lot of waiting and wondering if we should approach them or if they should approach us. They were out of bottled water the first day which really sucked Fiji time right? Our room didn't have hot water and we had to call several times to get it turned on. The fridge was very musty and dirty and we called to have it cleaned but no one ever came. We took everything in stride because we wanted to have a relaxing vacation. The activities were probably the highlight and ran smoothly. We did the bula ride to sunset beach, enjoyed the evening activites and the spa was the best resort spa I have been to. We took the day snorkel for $240 Fijian, an introduction dive for $160 and a open water dive for $190 Fijian. I thought that after 2 or 4 days of being open their meal service was get a rhythm, but it never did. In fact, the dinning staff were so burnt out at the end our trip I felt like they were hanging on by a thread. I think they need to hire a consultant to come in and help them learn to manage the various departments.
