"Where do we begin? Our personal experience of this hotel was nothing short of perfection. The location with the lake situated behind it was gorgeous (even in the rain). The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The bed was probably the comfiest bed we have ever slept on and the breakfast... The Riccotta Pancakes and the Croissant French Toast were the best breakfasts we have ever had. We'll both miss those greatly. The location is also great if you are wishing to visit Hobbiton as it's only (roughly) a 30 minute drive. It's a good hub point. The town is roughly a 10/15minute walk where you can find some great restaurants (Such as Alpinos!) We cannot wait to comeback. "

"Check in closed at 4pm - it seems a little early for people who are travelling. Reception had been informed we would arrive later than 4pm and a parking spot was booked. On arrival we received an envelope with our details. A parking place had NOT been reserved as requested. Emergency receptionist was contacted but told that no reservation had been made and the car park was full. We had to park in a nearby paid parking station. On checking out I was informed that a parking spot HAD been reserved for us. I was assured the parking fee would be removed from our bill. On arrival at our room our room keycard did not work. The duty manager was notified and arrived 30 minutes later to resolve the issue. Once in our room, everything was great, nice room with good amenities. I would be happy to recommend the property as it is very central with good amenities. It would have been even better if the administrative aspects had run more smoothly as we had travelled nearly 5hrs so the delays were somewhat frustrating. Regards Miriam "

"Our family of four had a great one night stay in a chalet. While the living area was cosy, it had everything we needed. It's located in a great spot not far from the caves and close to an excellent restaurant. "

"There seems to have a lot of cars parked there when we are staying there but there is always enough slots for us even when we came back around 8pm after dinner."

"Driving in it looks a bit average but we had our townhouse upgraded. Room was clean and heaps of space, quiet and close to supermarket, cafes - really good value for money "
