"The room and everything about it was as expected with one exception. This wasn't a typical hotel room and was booked as a condo/hotel room combo. It had dishes, it had glasses, it had a kettle, a microwave and a stove top - however, it had no pans, so we had no ability to cook. OK, not a huge deal, but should have been noted up front. Checkin was not by the people at the Luxe desk, so just be ready for that. They have to call the owners and you have to wait. No biggie, but then the checking process means the owners representatives are in your room with you for an extended period of time. Read the notes thoroughly, this was my first time in a hotel/condo in Manilla and they require an up-front security deposit either through cash or GCash (if you have it). I missed it in the notes, but was able to cover. Check out - this is where they problem came. Again you have to contact the owners group. They come to your room and inspect. They were trying their best to keep some of the security deposit and cited a brown mark on a towel as something they would deduct from the deposit. The mark was from washing dishes (coffee cups) - and the towel itself hadn't been washed. How can this be a charge if they don't know until after laundering if it's a stain or not? Also, if you don't want things to get stained by the guest washing dishes, tell them not to. If I left the dishes would I have been charged a dish washing fee? Nice place, horrible service. Will look elsewhere next time."
