"When we arrived for my son's 8th birthday (he wanted a vacation where he could see a river AND a mountain) the host showed all three of my children how to catch crawfish in the irrigation canal that runs next to the property. The boys were delighted and spent the rest of our week-long stay hunting for various life forms (bugs, frogs, crabs, etc) in the canal. "The house itself is beautiful but all around it is extremely badly taking care of. The yard is a mess, the grass high, and just next to some run down green houses. Some kind of a huge computer was making a terrible noise when we arrived, the owner allow us to turned it off thankfully. Could be a wonderful place to stay "

"Lovely house high up a hill overlooking the lake and Mt Fuji visible on clear day. We stayed two nights and regretted not staying longer. Well appointed house: comfortable and warm. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended."
