"First of all, the transportation was very convenient, and the view from the terrace of the inn was amazing. Security was also solid, so I was able to stay there with peace of mind. It was a great trip, and I'm grateful."

"Staff were friendly and helpful in resolving a room issue which was dealt with promptly and without inconvenience or fuss. There was a good breakfast selection and we found the hotel location excellent for the old town tourist attractions. The only minor negative was the late night noise from surrounding bars but this is unavoidable in such a central location and was not overall too detrimental to our stay. "

"It was a good stay.
The staff and service was great.
I loved the hotel, next time I am in Istanbul I will book the same hotel because it deserves to live the same experience."

Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Sezgin and Yasin were very professional and attentive at breakfast. Aynura from guest relations was also very helpful during our stay. Initially booked for Sura hotel, had access at sura design hotel for breakfast also."
"
I had a wonderful stay at Fer Hotel. The staff was courteous and extremely helpful. We were welcomed by the Front Office Manager, Mr. Kemal, who made our check-in and stay very smooth. He was Fantastic! Knowledgeable and friendly.
The entire staff was exceptional. Ms. Beyan from Housekeeping ensured that our room remained spotless and smelled fresh throughout our stay. I would also like to thank Saïd at Reception, Faruk from Guest Relations, Mr. Ibrahim (Operations Manager), Mr. Onur, and Mr. Egnam.
The hotel is modern, clean, and well situated, within walking distance of public transportation and local restaurants and shops. I will definitely come back to Fer Hotel the next time I visit Istanbul."
"The room was delightful, with Greta Garbo inspired theme, including a lovley old fashion recliner bath.
The staff were wonderfully accomodating and helpful. They even provided an early breakfast on the day we headed to Gollipoli.
What a great hotel, so full of charm, with fabulous people running it.
Thanks"
"Hotel was clean, was in a wonderful location, and the staff was helpful (although English challenged). Hotel was quiet and very clean. Surrounded by wonderful restaurants.
Breakfast was extensive and although not to OUR tastes was well liked by all other guests.
Had a heating problem with our room which was fixed by the next night. Would certainly stay again.
Suggestion: Do NOT book the night dinner cruise on the Bospherous. Bad food but good entertainment. Expensive. Take a day cruise instead.
We booked an official Turkish guide through the hotel and were very satisfied with him and official Turkish guides are highly regulated and VERY knowledgable.
In all of our travels on the Med. we liked Istanbul the best over Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon (although all of those are world class cities).
NOTE: Change money in Turkey. Evidently everybody does and the exchange rates are MUCH better than we got with our bank and there appear to be currency exchange kiosks with 4 on every block. Almost everybody LOVES dollars or Euros but carefully note the exchange rate that merchants are giving. Turkey appears to be a bargaining culture and tips are appreciated although not expected.
We found Turkish merchants to be persistent but NOT objectionable. Turkey is NOT a touching culture.
Arrange airport pickup through the hotel. The "new" Istanbul airport is large and modern with a LOT of walking and poor English signage. Note that Turkey is not an EU country with significant passport procedure"
"The staff are exceptional, reception, room staff, breakfast, everyone.
The breakfast were very goods d the cleaning staff were very prompt and did a great job.
There was a shortage of clothe hangers which needs to be addressed, that is my only complaint."
