Comfortable beds, amenities were great, friendly staff and breakfast in the morning topped off a great experience. We stayed in a Sofitel based hotel near Katoomba the next few nights after for a small fortune and we both honestly rate Glen Innes Motel well above it (we are a simple lot though).

Undercover parking. Rooms fresh and clean and a lovely shower. We were made to feel genuinely welcome and the meal brought to our room was delicious. Would definitely recommend this to travellers as a friendly, pleasant and restful stay.

If you can afford it, the king suite is excellent! The spa is Devine! The air conditioning needs an upgrade as we were here in 0 degree temps and the heat struggled a bit. The bed was more than warm enough though. Top stay! Extremely good place!

Excellent cabin and facilities - well above average. Excellent value. Quiet area and well located for all restaurants etc. Discount fuel offer was greatly appreciated.

We were greeted on our arrival by a lovely receptionist who was friendly, helpful and accommodating. She upgraded our room without being asked, provided information on where the best tourist sites were to visit and was generally a lovely person. The accommodation was clean, neat and comfortable with a lovely comfortable bed. Not the most opulent room I have stayed in but certainly a 5 out of 5 for comfort and cleanliness. Excellent stopover.

What luxury activities and experiences are there in Stonehenge?
The best area to stay near Stonehenge, New South Wales, is the surrounding New England High Country, particularly in towns like Armidale or Glen Innes, which offer convenient access and quality accommodation.
Armidale, a university city, is a good base for those seeking a balance of accessibility and amenities. The city centre, particularly around Faulkner Street and Beardy Street, has a selection of boutique hotels and guesthouses. It's a larger regional hub, so you'll find a wider range of dining options and services.
Couples looking for a refined experience will appreciate the countryside estates and guesthouses dotted around the New England High Country. These often provide a secluded setting with high-quality amenities, sometimes including gourmet dining and opportunities for stargazing away from city lights, which is a popular activity given the region's clear skies.
For travellers interested in local produce and artisan crafts, staying in or near Glen Innes offers a different appeal. This town is known for its Celtic heritage and is closer to some of the agricultural producers and smaller vineyards in the area.
