"The accommodation of the lodge was good. Nice size. Some of the decking and gates were a bit tired and needed upgrading. Booking tables for food by app. Good food. Bit his and miss on portions size. Overall good. Worth going as a group."

"This is our third stay at this lovely hotel, and once again, it has exceeded our expectations. It never fails to impress, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. The location is fantastic, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, with the added bonus of being within easy walking distance of Padstow for a relaxing evening stroll and a meal. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming and attentive, making you feel well looked after throughout your stay. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented, with a real attention to detail. Although we didn’t dine in the restaurant on this occasion, we have eaten there on previous visits and found the food and experience to be exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Another thoroughly enjoyable stay. Highly recommended, and we’re already looking forward to returning!"

"The hotel was great value, was nice and clean and the room was very nice and comfortable. I had a nice view over the fountains in the town centre as requested, which was very good for the price paid. I was only there for 1 night and only experienced the room and the breakfast, but I would definitely return to this hotel. It is also really convenient for accessing the centre of Plymouth and the university."

Place is owned by a golf group who are more concerned with the golf side of the business and less concerned about maintaining the same high standards of the hotel. Carpets are shocking all the wooden floors are terribly noisy."
