Breakfast good I never asked if they took pets very clean & very friendly efficient people. Only thing was the shower I couldn’t work it , I pulled the cord but nothing happened when I switched it on I never mentioned it as I was only staying for one night. Also room felt cold when I arrived I did mention that.
Such an amazing place run by amazing people and in a stunning area. Even accommodated me when I’d booked the wrong date. A real “get-away-from-it-all-place” Beautiful rooms and best breakfast ever. They really can’t do enough for you. Have stayed a couple of times and Can’t wait to return
Only stayed for the night, friendly people who run it , nice big breakfast to start the day ,so good value for the money, if you are afraid of taking your car up narrow roads get yourself a taxi.
I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast.
The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again.
Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm.
A warm welcome on a working farm - no nonsense, no frills just a comfortable, well-appointed room and a hearty breakfast. The drive up the lane is a bit hairy because there are few pulling in points should you meet traffic in the opposite direction but it's worth the risk - beautiful authentic setting, lovely hosts.

Pet friendly no fuss guest house.
A lovely warm welcome from the hosts. The room was dated but clean. Tea, coffee tray, nice clean towels, i got lucky and got the huge king-size bed, had the best night sleep for a long time. I wasctold to trest it like home and i did feel comfortable comjng in and out with my dogs, very pet friendly, no don't do this, don't do that, very relaxed. One piece of constructive criticism, there is a bell to get the attention of the hosts, i tried on numerous occasions and nobody came, all i wanted was the WiFi password and to know where the fire escape was, i wouod suggest just an information sheet pinned to the back of bedroom door would suffice, i did without WiFi and found a window that opened but didn't know where it lead as there where overgrown bushes. I had a fantastic full English breakfast, choice of cereals. Beautiful surroundings, overall i enjoyed my 1 night there.
We found this wonderful farmhouse Guesthouse by chance, on the internet and so glad that we did. We stayed there for a few days/nights and NOTHING was too much trouble for the hosts, Sandra and Arthur. Indeed, these lovely people being 'natives' to Dartmoor, have a vast knowledge of how anything and everything happens on the moors. Their knowledge is also invaluable when you want to visit beautiful spots and places of interest within the countryside.
We would have NO HESITATION in staying in this wonderful Guesthouse again..........AND WILL, NEXT YEAR!!!
Coming from Portsmouth and being used to more of a town environment, the Guesthouse location and the surrounding areas in the countryside were stunning!
NOTHING was too much trouble for the hosts, coupled with their friendly and helpful manner, which went far and above the call of duty!
Well done Sandra and Arthur..........keep up the good work..........and see you next year!!!!!
It was a fantastic choice from me, if I do say so myself 😊 it’s out of the way, it’s quiet and there are a few cars, which made me even more happy.
The owners are lovely, they are very welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here, and it’s easy to find - after a little bit of direction.
Fantastic stay, quiet and it was great to see the high quality stuff f my room, definitely worth the money.
Kind and lovely people, lovely chat and they really cared. Very much a spare room in the end of their house with a it’s own bathroom so very homely. Breakfast room was a breakfast room with lots of stuff and a cat (I loved the cat). It’s down a very rough and rocky track in the car. Basically it’s an authentic working farm with some lovely farmers who make a solid breakfast. I’d be back. If you are looking for a polished hotel experience this isn’t for you but for a real life nice people supporting local go for it. Lovely and quiet in the middle of nowhere. Thanks folks. For that price, who can argue

The property was down a long single track road which we wondered if we had the right road. No signs anywhere. Tight turn on the track up to the house. First impression was that is was quite run down, tiles loose and missing on the front of the house. There was a dead rat on the ground where we parked. We were welcomed by the owner who offered to make us a cuppa as we had travelled a long distance, which was nice.
The room was clean but really needs upgrading, as does the whole place. Comfy beds and lovely and quiet surroundings.
Breakfast was lovely but the tablecloth was dirty. Just little touches that would improve the place much more.
No hand soap in the bathroom which was across the landing. Struggled to close the bathroom door, but as we seemed to be the only ones upstairs we just left it ajar.
Hosts were very pleasant though and made the stay very homely.
