"The property is very remote, tucked into the neighborhood. Unfortunately, there was no direct access to the lake. The cabin was simple and rustic. Since we were just staying overnight, it worked out very good for us.We had breakfast at the local restaurant where we were seated on the back porch overlooking the lake. The food was excellent and a great start to the day."

"It was a bit tricky to find since it is hidden behind a hotel. Google maps took us to the right parking lot (Waterfront Inn) - just go all the way to the back. If you like the natural wood look, you will love this cabin. Just about perfect but missing some little details like wall hooks in bathroom/bedroom, a broom for sand on the porch, etc. Easy walk to Arnold ferry and downtown shops. Large bed in one bedroom, and bunk beds in an open alcove next to the bathroom - great for kids. We...

"On balance this was a nice stay. It is a very isolated campsite, apart from the other cabins of course. Good for unplugging. The cabin was cute and tidy. The breeze coming in through the windows was nice. The toilet and shower were adequate. Only negative was bugs on the kitchen table and it's not well suited for lake/beach access; there are better options in this area if you're about the beach and water."

"Overall, it was a good experience. Location to ferry and downtown mackinaw was good. Cabin was good size for what we wanted. Right on the beach. However the beach is very rocky. Make sure to have water shoes for the kids. Check in was good, except being told we could check in at 1pm and showing up at 3pm and the unit was being cleaned at that time. So we had to wait until 4pm. We would stay there again. Gave location a 3 because the cabins sit behind a run down lookin hotel that is still...

"I would highly recommend Hampton Inn at St Ignace. We brought our two pups with us and they were welcomed with open arms. We were thrilled with our view of Lake Huron, and our chance to walk the dogs right on the lakeshore. The big lobby with the gorgeous view AND the nightly bar/bartender were added bonuses. We didn't take advantage of the pool, gym, or game room but if we had stayed longer, we definitely would have. Our room and ALL of the public areas were spotless!"

"Everything was quality. Cleanliness, updated rooms, service. There was a golf cart driver to run you up for breakfast. It was close to the lake AND close to the dock to Mackinaw, a block or two and very walkable. You could even walk to downtown if you'd like. Of curse, right on the lake with a huge hotel shoreline. Buy some lunch and use a picnic table to take it all in. "

"Enjoyed our stay. Nothing fancy but was perfect for us. Very clean, roomy, updated and had what we needed. Loved the area. A 5-10 minute walk to the Ferry and downtown for some shopping and restaurants. A couple of things that I would add/change but am not complaining because you can’t beat the price for our stay. Nice to have-if there was a towel rack in the bathroom, nice to have-if there was just a light in the bathroom so the fan didn’t come on all the time and lastly move the lamps above our beds because they are low and we kept hitting our heads on them if sitting in bed. Lol Overall, a very nice stay and the owners were so helpful with whatever we needed.😊"
