I was, of course, disappointed not to have en suite facilities but I booked late and knew the situation. My room was small but exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. The staff could not have been more accommodating and made me feel very comfortable.

Good Value and excellent service
A warm and friendly welcome from when I first arrived, with a clean and comfortable room. Use of a fridge was a good touch. I had an on-suite room which worked out well. Breakfast was good, and served on a hot plate (the little things make an impression). Will definitely book there again when staying in the area. Parking can be an issue due to the restricted amount of space available. However, the owners were very helpful with offering alternative options when needed.

Lovely Hotel Elizabeth and Martin were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. After reading the reviews we decided to book this hotel, the breakfast was every bit as good as the reviews said it was fantastic. We shall certainly be booking 'The Maples' again the next time we stay in Southampton. The room was lovely and clean and comfortable, even handmade cookies with the recipe which was a lovely touch. The Victorian Ferry is a few minutes walk from the hotel. Thanks Elizabeth and Martin for all your help, to get the most out of our short stay.

it was a last minute, very last minute booking due to mistake by me. I was just glad to get a hotel in the Hythe ( Southampton) area. It was a small single room very clean and tidy but with shared facilities which I am not a great advocate of. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Due to the shared facilities issue I would not use the hotel again. This was my main issue everything else was fine

Welcoming and friendly B&B in Blythe
We had a lovely stay at the Maples during our visit to Hythe. We were made welcome from the moment we arrived and nothing seemed like too much bother. The Hotel is in a beautiful location and very close to local amenities. It proved to be a great base for our visits within the local area. The breakfast selection and quality of produce used is excellent. The hotel is very clean and the room was comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Lovely home made cookies were in our room which was a very nice touch

Friendly and homely hotel.
Greeted by Elizabeth who was very friendly and happy to show me where everything was. The hotel is situated 2 minutes was from the sea front and the village centre. The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with facilities. The Full English Breakfast was very nice and plentiful.

Simply love this place
Love the Maples. My favourite B&B in the area. Martin and Liz make you feel welcome and everything they do makes it for a really pleasant stay. Breakfast is amazing. Suits all tastes. Beds are comfy and rooms have lots of little touches to make your stay more pleasant.

Offer great service and very proactive. Booked through Hotels.com. But beware of cancellation near the date of booking! Payment system by hotels.com puts a hold on your room therefore owners of The Maples cannot fill this room. As a result I lost my refund. Yes I would book with them still in future.

Not a bad word to say about The Maples. Lovely hosts. Well priced. Amazing breakfast. Extremely comfy beds. Would definitely be my first choice if I'm ever down Southampton/Hythe again. (Also perfect for CTC dibden manor. Taxi fare is around £5).

Wonderful hosts, lovely room in fact the bed was so comfortable I wish I could have taken it home with us .The breakfast was good plenty of choice and cooked fresh .I would recommend to anyone and we would be happy to stay there again

Short solo break.
Short solo break. Relied on public transport. Train to Southampton Central, Shuttle bus to Town Pier, Ferry to Hythe Pier, Train along the pier, short walk to The Maples. Once there use of local busses requires a bit of planning if you are visiting area in low season. The Maples offers a warm welcome, spotless accomodation and a hearty breakfast.

V nice quiant guest house. great spot base journey
v clean rooms with a range of different sizes (only about 7 rooms in this guesthouse). it has been recently refurbished with some thoughtful touches; fan on the ceiling (which is a bit med but actually worked very well when on one occasion it was baking hot!), usb port in wall plugs and kettle for tea + coffee (and fresh milk + guest fridge downstairs). v clean rooms. host extremely friendly and thoughtful about guest experiences.

We felt very welcome
Before arrival we were sent an email inquiry from The Maples to confirm arrival time and also any special requirements for breakfast. Greeting was friendly and chirpy. Parking was easy (on-site or just across the road in the public car park). Our room was airy. Bed was comfortable. The accommodation was quiet. Coffee machine was very welcome as were the biscuits. Recommendations for food was given by the hosts which were useful. The accommodation is in a great location a minute into the shops. There are a number of restaurants within 5 minutes walk and the opportunity to see the water. The town is lovely to walk around with a nice community feel. Breakfast was really tasty and the breakfast room is quite spacious and cheerful. We only stayed for a night but this would be a great base to explore on a longer base.The ensuite bathroom serves its purpose but it is quite small. There is limited place to store your toiletries and therefore if you are staying for a long period I suggest bringing one of the bags that can be hung up.

Honestly one of the best guest houses I have stayed in for a long while. Martin & Elizabeth are warm, friendly and inviting. For business I always judge a good hotel\guest house by: 1)Parking 2) Decent sized workspace 3) Good Wifi 4)Friendly Staff 5) Good Shower 6) Comfy Bed 7) Decent Cup of Coffee in room 8 ) Good Breakfast Honestly cannot find a single fault in anything!

Good Stay at this BnB. The hosts Martin and Elizabeth where lovely. Eager to help with Info on Eateries etc. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful. I would recommend a stay.

A real treat.
One of the nicest B&Bs I've ever stayed in. Martin and Elizabeth run a fantastic place. Room was bright, airy with a huge comfy bed. Fresh milk available too. Breakfasts are awesome. Location is perfect. A 2 minute walk into town. Free parking and a lovely neighborhood.
