"We had a wonderful stay at Stanwell House Hotel. The staff are excellent, every member of the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 32, which was perfectly cosy with a very comfortable bed and offered lovely views. The breakfast was great—high quality and plenty of choice. My only minor note is that drinks can be quite expensive at the bar. Highly recommended for a boutique stay in Lymington!"

"Stayed with 10 friends with average age of 60. Photos of house interior on Vrbo are generally accurate - those on the website for Wheathill show different furniture and soft furnishings. Overall1930s shabby chic vibe is very nice and as expected. Good location in rural residential area10 mins walk to nearest shop and a pub. Neighbours are very close by and pay close attention to people coming and going. Rooms were clean and beds had clean white bedding. Mattresses were very comfortable. There...

"You get what you pay for... or so I thought, until I was talking to fellow travellers. They were raging about the cost of this budget hotel. I thought it was reasonably priced. It is basic, no frills, no vending machine, nowhere to put your clothes except a peg on the wall or a bench. That said, the bed was comfortable and there was a fan in the room. This was really useful given the air con didn't appear to be controllable. I reduced the setting to cool down from 30 degree weather outside and it hovered at 26 degree so not really worth the noise. I asked to use a hair dryer and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I also was given a room early without a problem. Altho' there's not a lot of amenities in the hotel, the staff were really helpful in signposting me. Improvements i'd recommend are 1] move the mirror closer to the one double plug in the room. 2] put in an additional plug beside the bed and 3] fix the aircon and put instructions into the room!"

"Room on top floor clan and tidy, complementary bottle of water, tea, coffee etc. Plenty of parking outside no issues registering the details Lovely friendly staff on front reception especially Carly, great evening meal recommendations. Would have been nice to be able to order a cocktail when we got back from our event but they stopped at 11pm Loved the allergen card in the restaurant for the evening meal. Would have been nice to have the allergen information for breakfast ( it’s a medical condition not a choice for me ) Would I stay there again ? Yes I would "

"The place was generally kept clean. The check in process was a little challenging since there was only one staff to handle a flood of people. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The amenities were adequate for its purpose. The in-house restaurant was very good. The breakfast buffet was adequate for any traveller. The location was close to town center with plenty of shops to choose from. And, it was close to the cruise port where we would embark for another journey."

"Hotel staff and concierge were great. Breakfast was excellent for a buffet. The restaurant and pub seemed to have staffing problems and were not attentive. The facility is showing it's age, however. Still, it was convenient to the mall for shopping. A little to far to walk to the Horizon cruise terminal with any luggage, but the concierge hooked us up with a taxi."

"The staff were friendly. Our room was smelly and there was hair on the carpet. We were moved to a different room immediately, which we appreciated. This was a lovely room. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. On arrival ( at 3pm), the corridor leading to our room was scattered with empty bottles, glasses and plates. There were dirty plates outside our room, too. Not a great first impression. We stayed for two night and our room was not cleaned during our stay. We were told that they were busy due to a wedding. I was not impressed as this is part of staying in a hotel. I appreciate that the hotel was busy but there was lots of queuing. We waited quite a while to check in and there was a long queue on both days to get into the restaurant for breakfast. It felt like the hotel was understaffed as even going to the restaurant for dinner took about 10 minutes of waiting to be seated. The staff were friendly and worked very hard."
