"Newly renovated room. Excellent shower and bathroom. The room was very clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant and room service were excellent. Carparking is a bit tricky due to renovation works. Overall a great stay. "

"The StandardX combines the old school Fitzroy environment with a contemporary take on what it is to be an accommodation. It sits in the heart of Fitzroy, yet feels cozy and quiet like a suburban home allowing me to work, rest and relax any time of day. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and attentiveness of the staff. Not to mention the rooftop view - absolutely stunning. The StandardX really seemed to have thought of it all while keeping it affordable and modern."

"We had a wonderful stay. Check-in was a breeze, with Liam being so friendly and helpful, not to mention the fact that we had been upgraded! The room was gorgeous and we made good use of the bathtub. The only blemish on our stay was the fact that the Chromecast didn’t work, however that wasn’t enough to ruin the trip (by a long way). Will return!"

"Staff are lovely and the grounds, facilities (swimming pool) are nice, the steam room is a nice addition but it is quite old and very noisy. The room was fine, basic but comfortable. Though no block out curtains only blinds which do let some light in first thing in the morning. Bathrooms are fine, again a bit old and the bath is very small. Tv was a bit slow, I paid for a movie (this was not charged for at check out) but it kept freezing on the screen. Breakfast is buffet style, again fine,...
