Lovely vistas. Genuine staff. No pretense. Excellent Scottish experience. Nice decor in room but bathroom could be updated.

hosts were very friendly and informative

Excellent property and location.Well staffed with friendly and helpful people. Property is very clean and tidy and is well presented

Utterly and absolutely amazing

From the very start this was a lovely stay. A wonderful warm welcome, beautifully presented property in an outstanding location. Spacious comfy rooms with everything catered, including complimentary whisky to settle in and look at the view. Great dinner and wine list. Loved it.

A stunning Scottish baroque mansion in an idyllic setting. Beautifully designed in a sympathetic way but fit for modern times. Clearly, the owners have poured their heart and soul into making sure this experience will be unforgettable for the guests. Impeccable and friendly service. I rarely give 5/5 but this is one of the best you’ll experience world wide, if you have an eye for detail.

Everything was so nice. The shower was amazing and the resturant great. Would highly recommend it.

An absolutely top notch B&B! Carol is attentive to every small detail, from locally made chocolates delivered to your room every day, to robes available if you wish to use them, to a small deck outside the room to enjoy the rural view. Carol loves what she does and it shows! Thanks Carol, we will remember our stay at Aspen Lodge 😊

We had a quick stopover in Oban and the Scot was perfect for our needs. Location was great, with close proximity to the harbour, cafes and bars.

Blair Villa South is a unique traveller’s rest with old world charm. Our room was very spacious and clean. The guesthouse is very conveniently located with a short walk to the centre of Oban and our hosts were friendly and welcoming.

We loved our stay at the Whisky Vaults.

Another great YHA hostel. Location was good; a 15 minute stroll to the town centre or Dunollie Museum and Castle. The facilities (common rooms, dinning hall and foyer) were well presented and tidy. The rooms/beds/linen/internal bathroom were clean, tidy, spacious, and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. The bonus of a “dry room”meant clothing could be dried when you got caught in the rain....a great idea! Overall, the hostel felt safe and welcoming. I highly recommend this hostel.

Deluxe accommodation

Decent hotel but no walk in shower which was shown on the Expedia website. Comfortable and quiet room for sleep and in a convenient location.

Great location and a short walk to town. Nice and clean with a good bed.

Clean attractive rooms, excellent breakfast menu and staff extremely helpful, close to ferry port.

An exceptional hostel and guest house in Oban, right on the waterfront and only a few minutes walk from town. We booked three twin rooms with en-suites and the rooms were perfect for what we needed. Excellent central heating, fantastic kitchen facilities where you can purchase breakfast items (fruit, toast, cereal, etc) for 20-30 pence, free tea and coffee making, plus a lounge room. The wifi worked well and downstairs is a pub with good food and great drinks selection. They play live sport...

Great location, small rooms but that’s all you need. Self check in was great too. The steam from the shower set off the fire alarm and called the fire brigade, so make sure you keep bathroom door closed. Fan in bathroom could be more powerful and a sign on the door (our room did not have any signs about this). Still would stay here again.

The Royal Hotel is perfectly located, very close to the station and the ferry terminal. There is a pub on the ground floor which may put people off, although I found it to be a great place for a drink, a meal or some entertainment. The pub also has free WiFi which the rooms don't. Breakfast was great - a large selection of freshly cooked items
