Fantastic view from the room, great service & kind suggesstions from the staff. It would be great if the breakfast time could be set earlier like 6:30 so that we can start our journey plan as scheduled.

Fantastic
Such a relaxing place to stay. We toured during the day, but always looked forward to getting back to the back garden each day to watch the sunset and moon rise over the mountains. We will definitely stay again. Monica, who works in the restaurants, is a ray of sunshine and will always brighten your day.

Absolutely amazing. Large room with stunning views. Hot tub on the lake was fabulous. Highly recommend visiting panorama bridge and cable car up Beatenberg.

This is truly a remarkable place to stay. It has a late Victorian gentility and charm that is totally beguiling, and it’s lakefront location can’t be beat. Relaxing on the well-shaded lawn on the lake, with high Alpine peaks plunging into the opposite shore, is a peak life experience, truly transcendent. The staff was uniformly warm, responsive, and helpful. We checked in on a viciously hot afternoon and I thought we were in for an uncomfortable stay as the hotel has no a/c. But at our request the staff found a couple of very effective floor fans and the night cooled off so quickly we were very comfortable. Of course, cooling off every so often in the clear turquoise lake water only made it better. I had a lake view single, and while small, it was intelligently laid out and the lakeside windows covered almost the whole wall, making it feel much bigger. We only had one meal in the restaurant, which was excellent (although expensive by American standards, as virtually all area restaurants are). Overall, I can’t rave enough about this place. I wanted to stay for months.

The room we stayed had a fantastic view of the lake and the mountains. The property was clean and well maintained. Definitely worth going back.

The hotel is a little dated. Broken window panes are obvious from the street. The room was pretty quirky, and the shower kept plugging up. We tried to see if the drain plate was closed, and it came off with chunks of black smelly goup and lots of hair. Pretty gross. Waiters in the restaurant were super nice with lots of hospitality. The hotel stands by strict cancellation policies with no regard to circumstances. The room / accommodations are way overpriced for what you get. Overall we would not recommend this hotel.

I had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the water. The room was nicely decorated with vintage furniture of the era. The manager was extremely warm, friendly and accomodating. She let me score my kayak on the water and launch off from the hotel. There was even a space for me to park so it made the whole trip no stress and super relaxing. The ferry to zurich stop was just outside the hotel and the tram ride to the mountains was also at the entrance of the hotel. The view from the dining hall's gigantic windows was super charming!

Stay here for the view. Staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful. Some of the amenities could use some sprucing up. Hotel is generally in good shape. Breakfast was by far the worst we experienced in our two weeks overseas. Very limited selection in all areas.

The staff at check in and out were friendly, the room was clean and quiet and the balcony views of the lake were wonderful. Breakfast was more than adequate with a large selection of breads, fruits & cheeses. I would stay here again.

Einzigartiges Hotel mit gemütlichem Ambiente, wo man sich nur wohlfühlen kann. Das Wellness im Bootshaus, wo wir auch noch nach check out verweilen durften war der Wahn. Mit diesem tolle Personal fühlte man sich sofort wie zu Hause. Das leckere Essen mit Seesicht machte dieser Ort zu unserem Traumurlaub! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Tausend Dank!!
