"The check in was pretty easy but the staff could have been more friendlier. All the expectations in the room were good but I wish there was a microwave at least downstairs for us to use. Room service was good. "

"Gorgeous, immaculate, luxurious. I’d give this stay more stars if I could. The staff caters to your every whim, the property is spotless, they have a free roaming peacock, cat and 3 highland cows. Idyllic. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in hands down. Worth the splurge. "

"Superb value for money. Our room was spotlessly clean and serviced every day. It was great that our towels weren't replaced when we hung them up. I would highly recommend having an evening meal there as both of our choices were delicious.
Great location - we went into Edinburgh three times and used the park and ride at Wallyford which is a 15 minute drive away.
Stunning views from the restaurant.
We shall definitely recommend The Lodge to anyone who wants to stay in the area."
"Patrick couldn’t have been more helpful in anticipation of our visit. The house is very well equipped, beds comfortable and spotless, showers lovely and hot. The bus service is minutes away direct to the city and plenty shops/bakeries nearby for provisions. The only mark-down is on the ‘child-friendly’ question which Patrick answers in the description of the property so on your own head be it! The stairs not suitable for stair gates would be the only issue with smallies - otherwise a great spot near the beachfront with the kids. We all enjoyed our stay and the friendly host Roslyn was lovely too. Many thanks! "
