Very nice hotel in a country house in the country outside of Edinburgh south of the airport. The rooms were nice but you had to watch TV through the internet only. Also, the grounds are pretty and nice to walk through. It was quite expensive though

Really good country house experience, without too many modern 'interior design' fashion impositions that mar many others. Restaurant good, afternoon tea good. Garden could do with a better maintenance/planting regime, window repainting, but i have to rein in here as i'm a conservation architect and thus Mr. Fussy. Overall a very delightful re-couperative stay and would go again and happily recommend.

It's a hard hotel to be rated as the room we booked was misleading in Expedia, it was far worse, smaller, dated than in the pictures and description. There were only two rooms at that corner, far away from other rooms, looks like a one star hotel room. The other rooms were nice though, together with very nice library, lobby, activity rooms, which made our room even more pathatic. We would have paid more for a better room if not being misled by Expedia description, as the hotel itself was quite good.

Absolutely loved our stay. Convenient to Edinburgh (by car), great staff but what made our stay special was the property itself - absolutely beautiful... it's like being transported back in time. The setting is beautiful - so peaceful and the gorunds are beautiful.

We loved our time at Carberry Tower! The estate was stunning and the staff were very helpful. We walked in the gardens and the woods behind the estate - breathtaking! Our dinner and breakfast were delicious. I only wish we had arrived soon enough for the high tea which looked perfect. This will be a favourite memory from our European vacation! Thank you from a perfect stay!

The experience of staying at Carberry is what this place is all about. The house is beautiful and the staff is so The house is beautiful, and the staff is so accommodating. The WiFi is weak and the none suite rooms are very small, but the experience is what this place is all about. The grounds of the estate are beautiful and worth exploring from the gardens to the variety of trees make sure to take advantage of the trails around the property.

Check in was difficult, and we were not told about any of the common rooms at the hotel. The room was very small, and I’ve been on cruises that had larger bathrooms. The shower was very small, approximately 3 square feet, and the sink was very tiny. It was virtually impossible to wash your face or brush your teeth in it. I didn’t think they made sinks that small! Overall, the room seemed rather run down. We had to ask where the restaurant was located. The food was good, but the restaurant had a funny smell - old and quite unpleasant. Breakfast the next morning was good; it was a buffet with several different offerings. Generally, we were disappointed.
