"Love the buffet brekky. Hated the car park! Half was bunted off and people were struggling to find a park, very tight one way park but two traffic! Bed and room were great as was the view. Maybe a seal on the balcony door to block traffic noise would be good. Would stay there again though :)"

"The room definitely didn’t smell fresh or pleasant. Reception is actually next door at The Alba. Staff were helpful. You should check where your room is located when booking if you can’t use stairs. There’s no lift to the second floor. "

"I’m extremely disappointed with my recent stay and feel this warrants a formal response from management. The room condition was unacceptable for a Hilton property. The carpet felt unhygienic, the bathroom showed visible signs of mould, and parts of the furniture had rough, splintered edges. This is not only below standard but raises concerns around basic cleanliness and maintenance. Breakfast was also underwhelming, with very limited vegan options, which does not reflect the inclusivity and quality expected at this level. Most concerning, however, was that my entitled 25% discount on in-hotel purchases was not honoured for parking, despite this being clearly communicated. This added unnecessary frustration to an already poor experience. Given the overall condition of the room and the failure to honour stated benefits, I believe this stay fell significantly short of expectations and value. At this stage, I would not consider returning."

"This hotel is centrally located, and the heritage and historic elements are very interesting. However, it is way overpriced for the experience. We arrived quite late (about 9pm) and had a less than enthusiastic welcome from reception staff, which I would describe as professional but chilly. The room was spacious but the decor is depressing; I recognise they are trying to retain the historic aspect but the furniture is dark and uninspiring. One of the bathroom tumblers still had toothpaste marks on it (had not been cleaned properly) and on the main television screen it still had the welcome message for the previous guests, which was not altered during our whole stay. My mother-in-law was also staying at the hotel and being 88, she asked for a bathroom non-slip mat for the shower. Despite saying they would provide this, it was never delivered. A pretty disappointing stay overall."
