Difficult to stay asleep because the only bed-covering was a very thick doona which could not be replaced by a thinner blanket as none was provided and there was no top sheet. Credit card surcharge was exorbitant. Major renovations in progress, but no notification or rebate. Room provisions were inadequate (tissues, sanitary pad disposal bags). Not what one would expect of an entity that trades on excellence."

"There was a bracket in the bedroom for a tv but no tv. Lacking power points for phone / watch chargers beside the bed. The bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. "

"We needed a room for an early morning flight the following day. The accommodation was extremely basic, no shampoo, no hair dryer, ultra small bathroom. The view out of the window was of the roof which unfortunately can’t be changed even if the room was renovated. There is no lift so you have to carry your bags upstairs. We would not stay here again and not recommend it. On saying that, the restaurant where we ate dinner that evening was outstanding and would highly recommend. It’s such a shame the accommodation is so poor as it would be great for country people like us to use before an early morning flight - in future we will stay elsewhere."
