"The room size was excellent however it looked like the carpet had not been hoovered and the waste paper bin was full from the previous occupants. The following day we returned to the room to find it had not been cleaned. I contacted reception who informed me that this was a Green Hotel and the rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis. I told them about the bin and the carpet and was asked if I wanted them to come and deal with them immediately. As we were getting ready to go out again I said it could wait until the following morning. Disappointingly the room was not cleaned during our whole stay of 4 nights. I can only presume the *ŵ"

"A few things - the place is controlled via iPads and tech there isn’t a phone or room service or anything to connect with the staff. Elevators are all controlled through key pads and you have to check yourself in and do all the work to get your keycard working. While the staff are helpful and friendly it seems that iPads run the show. There was an issue with the wifi and therefore temperature control etc in the room as you can’t change it without an iPad or wifi. The showers are separate from the toilets and not ideal. It’s ok to experience this kind of hotel but would not stay again. "

"All was well until my last night … I went down to the kitchen to order food … I told the bar tender I would like it to go. He told me to sit at a table and wait for the server, so I did but never once did the waiter come to my table .. yes a I am black female. It was after that the bartender who is also black saw that I had been sitting for more than 10 without being waited on took my order. The waiter for the area who was a tall white male caught eyes with me 8 times yet passed me by each time. After my order was placed, it took about 30 mins to receive my food which came out as if it was being room serviced instead of it being packed in a to go box and bag. Needless to say I won’t be back to this property because of this. I forgot to mention everyone in the dining area was a white male as all had be attended to while I was waiting. "

"Absolutely incredible stay, the room was so clean and the bed was super comfy! Staff were so nice too. Transport was super convenient and easy to get into the city. "

"When we checked in the bed had hair in it and the rug was dirty. The hallways smelled damp. There was no air circulation so when we took a shower it got really humid. Also, a silverfish fell on me when I was in the bathroom, further confirming the humidity and air circulation issue. I would be concerned about mould in this hotel, since it seems like there is no circulation and high humidity. The neighbourhood is cute, but difficult to get in and out of unless you’re using Uber. There isn’t too much around but it’s a nice view of the harbour and a handful of cafes nearby. If you’re looking to explore Amsterdam proper I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The rooms are very bare bones and seemed rush (peeling wallpaper, etc.) and some parts seem unfinished. There are basically no amenities and we didn’t have enough towels in our unit. I’m surprised at the very least that this hotel does not have a fitness centre. Getting into the hotel through the double doors is annoying, since you have to wait for one door to close before the next opens and it takes forever. The staff was the redeeming quality of this place— super friendly, they got us an early check in and were kind. Overall this was a subpar experience. With some actual work on the ventilation and a couple of amenities improvements for guest experience, this could be a fantastic hotel."
