"We chose this cabin for our yearly mountain getaway solely for the description of the fishing outback and ponds in the photos. Unfortunately, the water outback was about 4 inches deep with no fish whatsoever and the ponds were on a different property that we were not allowed to access. When we arrived to the cabin, the thermostat was set at 55 and the heat would not cut on until midday the next day. We didn’t bring firewood ourselves, assuming the heat would work – so we had to search the woods at night in the frigid cold to find wood ourselves to burn ( it had been raining so just grabbing some from outside the door that wasn’t wet wasn’t an option). That continued throughout the night and into the next day. As temperatures continued to drop inside and outside-we reached out to VRBO as soon as we realize the heater was not working correctly and they just wanted pictures of the thermostat. There was also no heat whatsoever in the downstairs “game room”area. The cabin itself was OK, but definitely looked like it had been a while since it was occupied before us due to the cobwebs. There was also no dishwasher so we had to hand wash everything. We based our trip entirely around the photos and description of the water, so we could have looked past almost everything else had we actually had the opportunity to fish.. That was by far the most disappointing part of our trip this year. "
