Perfect Location, Feels Like Grandma’s

The house is very conveniently located. We loved the amount of indoor and outdoor space the property provides. Overall, it feels like a stay at Grandma’s or Great Grandma’s house in the country. If you come with small children, it’s well-equipped with most everything you need. The washing machine wasn’t like anything I’d operated before, but after I figured it out, it cleaned clothes really well. Line drying can be done inside or out. Despite being there during 90 temps, the house was cool as long as we kept the shutters closed during the heat of the day. Overall, a fantastic value for the space, amenities, and location.

Our French home for 2 weeks

Our 2 weeks in Sarlat was part of a one month stay in Portugal and France. The house was perfect as a place to be able to stay in touch with work, tour the local area and markets, and have some fabulous food - we ate at a different restaurant every night using recommendations from our host. The location was quiet and peaceful, and the walk into and back from town was easily managed. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely peaceful location.

Large well equipped house in a peaceful location. Walkable to the town but we used the car park down the hill to access the town. Great location for visiting many great tourist attractions. Could do with another couch in living room as other chairs not that comfortable. Communication with the owner and lady who let us was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Relaxing getaway in a peaceful setting

We had a lovely stay. It is a nice, large house equipped with anything you could need. Magnificent views in a quiet setting. The house is setup well for families wanting to cook meals at home. Sarlat is a cute town, easy to walk and filled with friendly people. Be prepared for a long, steep walk up and down the driveway to the town center is my one bit of advice.

Quaint and quiet farmhouse

Close to Sarlat town centre - can walk down driveway but its a bit of a hike back up - drive car to free carpark at end of driveway is best option. Towels and linens are extra - we only got one towel each for 6 nights , one hand towel and no wash glove, we went to wash towels however no laundry powder provided. One couch in main room which was fine for two of us - larger groups might find that an issue. overall, it was fine for two of us.

Very clean, comfortable house in a good location, and with a beautiful garden.

This house would be very good for a large family with plenty of bedrooms and room for children to play outside. We were two couples and it worked well for us. We especially enjoyed sitting outside, admiring the garden. It may just be the French way, but we were surprised that there were not the necessary supplies we needed in the house. We had to buy toilet paper and dish washing soap, salt and pepper. Arrival and departure were well organized.

PERFECT

The previous contacts with the owners and during the check in were positive and effective. The house is perfectly located: it's like being in the country but a few minutes from the center of Sarlat. The kitchen is very well equipped and all the appliances work. The house is clean and comfortable. Families travelling with kids will find it very convenient. Children can play both inside and outside. There are gardens and fruit trees and plenty of space. We strongly recommend it!!! Anisio and Tirma

A lovely, secluded holiday home only minutes from the centre of Sarlat

My family (my wife and I, our daughter and her two children aged 9 and 13) have just returned home after a wonderful holiday based at this property. Inside, it was clean, well-equipped and very spacious. Outside, there's a large peaceful garden, plenty of parking space, and a large outside eating area under the shade of some grape vines with a lovely view over Sarlat, where we enjoyed a barbecue several times having bought meat from the butcher in Avenue Gambetta (just down the hill, opposite the bakers). Sarlat is a lovely town, only five minutes away down the hill (but a bit longer coming back up, and may be too much for some people), and is a good base from which to visit other attractions in the area. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property, and hope to return again in the future.

Vacances parfaites à Sarlat !

Tout d'abord le gîte est très bien situé car on peut accéder à pied au centre ville tout en étant au calme avec une vue dégagée. De plus, il est très grand et idéal pour une grande famile. Il est très propre, très bien entretenu et équipé. Bref nous avons vraiement passé une superbe semaine ici et nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

La maison est bien située nous pouvions allez au centre de sarlat à pied par un petit chemin un peu raide mais accessible car pas de place pour se garer sur les pakings Nous etions au calme le logement est bien conçu 3 chambres à l étage assez grande une salle de bain etwc indépendant a l'étage et une salle de bain et wc au rez-de-chaussé belle terrasse et belle vue sur la ville nous avons passé un bon séjour

Maison de campagne proche de la ville

Avec son charme désuet, cette maison de campagne est parfaite pour des vacances familiales ☺️ nous y avons séjourné une semaine avec nos deux enfants et la grand mère, et y avons passé de merveilleux moments. La salle de jeux et ses nombreux jouets sont clairement un plus, comme la remise avec les jouets d'extérieur ! Les loulous n'ont eu besoin de rien d'autre ! On trouve de tout pour cuisiner, et l'on sent que cette maison a vécu de nombreux jours heureux ☺️ Le seul bémol pour nous a été l'absence de canapés suffisamment grands pour nous tanner le soir, une fois les enfants couchés, mais nous avons largement profité des grands extérieurs. Effectivement, le chemin d'accès n'est pas évident, mais rien d'insurmontable (ça fait un bon massage de fessier !). La proximité du centre historique de Sarlat et le calme de la propriété sont clairement les points forts de ce séjour. On a adoré !

Agréable maison pour un séjour familial

Maison spacieuse et au calme avec un environnement extérieur très agréable. De nombreux livres et jeux permettent d'occuper facilement les enfants. Mais attention il manque une barrière sécurisant l'escalier. Situation idéale pour visiter les environs mais le chemin piétonnier menant au centre ville de Sarlat a une pente importante et il peut sembler difficile à utiliser.

Traditionell französisch Wohnen

Top Lage: Ruhig und zentrumsnah. In weniger als 10 Minuten erreicht man zu Fuß das Zentrum vom mittelalterlichen Sarlat. Von Haus und Hof hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Ort. Innen sieht es aus, als sei die Madame gerade erst ausgezogen. Man kann sich gut vorstellen, wie eine Familie lange im Haus gelebt und den Hof betrieben hat.

Le petit chemin qui mène à la propriété est quelque peu chaotique mais au bout de celui-ci le calme, le confort et à proximité le village de Sarlat (10 mn à pied). Disponibilité et gentillesse de notre hôte, tout a été parfait.

Sehr gute Lage, Zentrumsnah und ruhig, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, alles Notwendige ist vorhanden. Kleine Mankos: keine Klimaanlage, das Haus ist alt und riecht muffig, es muss gut gelüftet werden, der Zufahrtsweg ist stellenweise sehr uneben.
