"We chose a river front room, and arriving felt like being a VIP. It was so romantic feeling right from the start. The views are amazing, and getting to enjoy from your room is spectacular. Some rooms do not have a view, and that would be a bit sad I think. The rooms are small, no room for a chair, but the view is the main attraction. The staff is over the top friendly in the best way. They took time with each interaction to ask about our day, our plans, and how they could help by making phone calls to make our tour easier or recommend great food. Breakfast was brilliant, with amazing fruits from the market as the main attraction. Fresh breads, meat and cheeses and eggs cooked to order. ( no windows in the breakfast room, some folks were hoping to make up for their no view rooms with a riverside breakfast. That’s a no) Breakfast was so tasty and served with a very personable staff. Great!"

"Overall great hotel. Great location and the friendliest staff. Rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. They gave us a complimentary bottle of Port Wine which was lovely. I gave it 4 stars ONLY because the one downfall is there is live music outside near the river that plays from morning time until 10-10:30pm at night and we had a room facing the river. The windows are not soundproof at all and it was very loud in the room. So just be weary when booking a river view."

"Perfect position for many of the main attractions. Clean room, lovely staff, nice breakfast. Palacio da 2 mins walk, waterfront 5 mins, Sao Bentk train station 7 mins, shops & restaurants all nearby Breakfast room gets crowded, lots of street noise on a weekend even from 6th floor. Take ear plugs. Seagulls also very noisy 😀 "

"Great hotel. Staff are so friendly. You get a welcome drink and pastry at check in. Super comfortable beds. Location is phenomenal. One block from the waterfront area and lots of restaurants around. Try and get a room more to the back as there is currently a loose manhole cover on the street that is super loud. This was my 2nd time staying at hotel and would stay again. "

"The staff was amazing with communicating with us regarding how to check in as our check in time approached. The building was beautifully designed and right on the water. The staff was amazing. Parking was expensive but convenient. Loved the location! Wonderful stay!"
