The best area to stay in Sannes is the village centre, particularly around the Place de l'Eglise and the surrounding streets.

This area forms the heart of Sannes, offering a convenient and pleasant base for your stay. You'll find a selection of local shops, bakeries, and cafes, all within easy walking distance. The architecture is typical of a Provençal village, with stone buildings and narrow, winding lanes. From here, it's straightforward to explore the local vineyards and the wider Luberon region.

Couples looking for a relaxing and authentic Provençal experience will find the village centre ideal. You can enjoy strolls through the historic streets, discover local artisan shops, and dine at charming restaurants without needing to drive. The evening ambience is particularly pleasant, great for enjoying a glass of local wine.

For those planning to explore the surrounding Luberon Natural Regional Park by car, staying just on the outskirts of the village centre, along roads like the D120 or D943, offers excellent convenience. These locations often feature properties with private parking and provide quick access to routes leading to other picturesque villages like Bonnieux or Gordes.

The best time to go to Sannes is during late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the region is less crowded.

Late spring offers warm, sunny days superb for exploring the Luberon Valley. The lavender fields begin to bloom in June, creating stunning landscapes. This period is ideal for couples looking for scenic drives, wine tasting, and outdoor activities like cycling or hiking without the intense heat of mid-summer.

Early autumn provides warm temperatures with a gentle breeze, making it comfortable for sightseeing and enjoying the local markets. The grape harvest is in full swing, offering a unique opportunity to experience the local culture.
