"We have returned after having spent the last 2 nights at The Clarendon for my husbands 40th birthday, the communication was brilliant from start to finish, we loved our room (the goodwin suite) its a touch of luxury with a very reasonable price tag, the beach and pier view absolutely blew me away, after having lost my mum last week it was a welcome distraction as well as a celebration for my husband. We picked Deal so we could go fishing and having a view of the pier made The Clarendon a firm favourite for us, we will definitely be back thank you for having us ❤️"

"My wife and I stayed for 2 nights with our two little dogs. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. The breakfast was to order and really nice. The location is superb being right on the beach. Ideal for a walk with the dogs. Will stay again in the future and happily recommend."

"Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and our room was beautiful with a view over the river. It was quiet and comfortable and I loved the window seat in the bay window. The bathroom was enormous and boasted both bath and walk in shower. Unfortunately the basin taps were very difficult to turn off and trickled overnight but we were assured that this would be looked at and received sincere apologies for the inconvenience. We enjoyed a full and plentiful breakfast with bottomless tea and coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed a little longer"

"Beadles was the perfect venue for a multigenerational (11 years to 90 years of age) Easter break. The house has lots of character and plenty of area for a spot of quiet reading, when you want a bit of down time. The lounge area with open fire had plenty of space for everyone to gather, the dining room is perfect for family meals and the kitchen is large and well equipped for catering for a large group. The house was very clean, warm and well maintained. Garden was huge and would be ideal on a sunny day for relaxing. Perfectly placed near to a beach and on a private estate, which ensured nights were quiet. Special thank you to the managers for ensuring we had everything we needed to get settled. We would definitely consider renting this house again."

"We had a fantastic stay at Poplar Farmhouse and Barn. Nine of us met up to celebrate our friendship of over 45 years, and the roomy and comfortable farmhouse and barn met our needs perfectly. We especially loved sitting in the warm, sunny summerhouse while looking out at the garden, and enjoyed the views from the outside benches. The location was perfect for visiting the lovely town of Sandwich, a run out to Deal and a trip to Margate for lunch and to see the Tate. Comfy beds, plenty of food storage options, lots of parking, lovely grounds... all perfect."

"Lovely Cottage, we were very lucky with the weather and were able to get out and explore the Kent countryside. The only things to point out where if you’re taller than 5ft 10 you need to be careful not to bang your head on the eaves and the name of the cottage is difficult to spot as it’s on an open gate."

"We booked the Lily Room at the Blue Pigeon for our wedding anniversary, hoping for a quiet, restorative escape after a demanding few months. Unfortunately, the stay didn't quite deliver on that promise — though it wasn't without its highlights. Arrival set an unexpected tone. We walked into what appeared to be a large, lively bottomless brunch gathering — very much a party atmosphere — and could barely hear the receptionist over the noise. For guests seeking a peaceful retreat, this was quite a jolt, and felt at odds with how the hotel presents itself. The room itself was genuinely lovely. Beautifully decorated, well-furnished, and thoughtfully put together with real attention to detail — exactly what you'd hope for at this price point, and credit where it's due. Sadly, sleep was impossible. The church directly opposite chimes on the hour, every hour, throughout the night — something we weren't forewarned about. The room also ran very hot despite no radiators being on, and opening the window only amplified the bells. By morning, having had no sleep whatsoever, we missed breakfast entirely so can’t comment on that. The Blue Pigeon clearly has the bones of something special, shows real care in its design. But the overall experience felt confused — the branding suggests a calm, boutique bolthole, while the reality on our visit was quite different. A little more consistency between the two, would consider returning! "
