"There are two pools. We found that the pool closest to the hotel was more kid friendly than the other one by the restaurant. We had a wonderful time, but it was hard to get a hold of the front desk when we needed them and it was a pain to walk all the way there from the hotel rooms which is a separate building."

"Was based in Miami on vacation but had planned a trip to the keys so chose Kingsale Resort for our overnight stay. Check in was a smooth and the lady behind the desk (apologies cannot remember her name) was super sweet and helpful and instructions were clear and easy to understand. Had great parking outside our room. Nice large room with two large beds and the cutest throws on them. Nice equipped kitchenette, large bathroom with wardorbe/frame and awesome large shower. We also were lucky to have an area we could sit outside in that was completely surrounded by mosquito nets. Right across the road you have the cutest diner Wooden Spoon and plenty of gas stations that are well stocked. Cannot comment on supermarkets nearby as did not look into or use them. If we were in the area again we would definitely stay at KSR again, thanks guys"

"This property is conveniently located right off US one in Marathon. My room faced the highway, so there was a lot of traffic noise, but that didn’t really bother me so much. My first evening on property, a man approached me in the parking lot and asked for money. That was offputting and a little frightening. I continued to walk past my room so he didn’t know where I was staying. That felt very unsafe. My car was parked just outside my room. It was about 830 at night so it was already dark outside. The room was large and spacious. Very clean, but no table for the sofa or any other desk or workspace. There’s certainly plenty of room to put some additional furniture. Bed linens were very nice. Plenty of towels. While the pool area seems well maintained and the furniture is very nice including the umbrellas, there was a distinct garbage smell the day I was at the pool, which was overpowering. There’s a lot of chickens running around the property near the pool, which didn’t bother me, but I could see how they would be intimidating to small children or folks who aren’t familiar with chickens and how they can be. There is no ice machine anywhere, but the lobby staff is happy to provide bags of ice for you if you ask. All in all, this was a great location for me to serve as a base while here in the keys.."

"Room was clean and large. View was of parking lot. Restaurant on site not open for lunch. Dinner served outside only. Check in staff were kinda rude. Greeted us with “well I’ll have to see if your room is ready.” We were told housekeeping would not clean room or come in. If we wanted towels we could call them. Then they came in every day. Pool was beautiful but has a mildew issue on north side. They advertise internet, free parking, complimentary breakfast and then charge a resort fee to cover it. This is not really a resort. It’s an older motel with a great pool. Location was very good!"
